I find that if you are patient, you will find the book you're looking for at the right price. I recently picked up Planetary #1 along with 2 other Planetary books for 99 cents. It was all over the place for 20 and up. Of course Silver age books are more of a challenge...

Most these are "hot" or not at some point.
I picked up a vol 1 Harbinger # 1 years ago in Vegas for $ 10.
The guy says, "You know that used to be $ 100 book."
I said, "Yeah. Used to."
Still, I was happy to pick it up for $ 10.

This sale has been extended to Sept. 10. Does anyone on CCF shop here? My boy Chuck had X-23 #1 listed for $100...umm...yeah, compare that to $6.50 in NM on ebay.
I've never bought anything there, but I'm on the mailing list so I figured I'd post the sales, at least the really deep discounts. They currently have 50% off on comics & magazines with codeword NANETTE! and they've just reduced the prices on hardcover and softcover books by 30% with no codeword needed. |
