Mile High's website was the target of a Denial-of-Service attack earlier this week and was offline for a couple of days. To make up for lost revenue, the 60% off HALLOWEEN! codeword sale has been extended indefinitely.
Whatever you might think of Chuck and his business, this attack was a shitty thing to do.

I still like Mile High! There was something that was going wrong during the summer but if you communicate respectfully and have patience things get sorted out eventually. So many people today are without any patience in so many areas! I've always gotten my orders as expected and described... only once was there an oversight years ago where a Doctor Who fanzine was missing the middle four pages and a replacement was sent out. I just received an order a few days ago (included those two 1963 DC annual reprints, an Amazing Heroes with Futurians cover story and two late '70s Ditko Strange Adventures not that anyone would ask, quite a small variety and all as good of better than I was expecting at the price).

Guess I should have posted this earlier, but Better World Books is having a 30% off Halloween sale for all used books. They stock a lot of comics related stuff, mainly tpbs, HCs and digests (although be warned, they're often former library books). Free shipping worldwide. The discount code is PEEKABOOK2018. The only thing is, the sale officially ends in a few hours - however, I've found that at checkout their discount codes often still work even a few days after the sale ends.

Once more, Better World Books is having a 30% off sale (on 3 or more used books). It's a Cyber-Monday sale that ends on Wednesday, November 28, at 3:00:00 PM EST. Free worldwide shipping. Also, this might be more interesting to any members in outside of the US: the UK-based Awesomebooks is having a 20% off sale on all used books, DVDs, etc. (the discount code is FESTIVE). Shipping is not free outside of the UK, but it's a very reasonable flat rate, a little less than US$4.00 for all orders regardless of the number of books. Sale ends on Dec. 5. Edited to add: Awesomebooks, like Better World, has quite a few comic tpbs and similar material in stock.

I haven't ordered anything from Mile High for years but looking at their site the prices still seem way higher than Mycomicshop.com, even after accounting for the 60% discount.

Anyone near or within driving distance of the Dayton area should check this out: Bell, Book & Comics annual warehouse sale. I went last year and filled a "long box" plus got a couple power records and books for a buck each. Will have to wait and see what goodies lurk there this year. Bell, Book and Comics is a great shop run by Pete Bell, and this is his annual tradition clearing out older stock to make room for new stuff in the new year. -M

Ollie's Bargain Outlets have gotten in stacks of TPBs and GNs again this week. I checked out our local Ollie's this afternoon and the GN selection lived up to their motto-good stuff cheap. I picked up a dozen trades for a little less than $60. 11 DC one from Oni, but they had bunch of Marvel stuff and some Zenoscope stuff and a handful of Dark Horse stuff. Stuff ranged form $2.99 to $19.99 (the $19.99 stuff had MSRP over $50 so was at a significant discount). -M

For those who buy digital editions-Marvel.com is having a sale on Golden Age Marvel comics through Jan 14. Single issues are 25 cents each and collections (Masterworks etc.) are about $3-$6 each.
Titles I saw included Captain America Comics, Young Allies, Marvel Mystery, USA, Mystic Comics, and All Winners among the collections and most of those plus Human Torch and Sub-Mariner among the single issues.

Does it say if this has been updated since the original printing?

Does it say if this has been updated since the original printing? not really noted that I can see. . .but for the cost of a single DC/Marvel issue?
it's a great deal regardless.
