Avengers TeamMembers List Ant-Man Black Widow Captain America Giant Man Hawkeye Hulk Human Torch Invisible Girl Iron Man Mr. Fantastic Quicksilver Scarlet Witch Spider-Man Sub Mariner Thing Thor Vision Wasp Notes: I know that Ant-Man and Giant Man are the same person - but you can have them separately to make it interesting. One more thing, I added included Quicksilver because of Flash's presence in the Justice League. Justice League of AmericaMembers ListAtom Aquaman Batman Black Canary Cyborg Elongated Man Firestorm Flash Green Arrow Green Lantern Hawkgirl Hawkman Jonn Jonzz Phantom Stranger Red Tornado Superman Wonder Woman Zatanna Notes: I included Cyborg and Phantom Stranger because I do not want to offend members here that Phantom Stranger was a member of the Satellite Era of the Justice League. Cyborg is included because of Iron Man is a member of the Modified Avengers. Poll will lock itself on June 30th, 2016.Please be fair and objective and please don't criticize anyone opinion and state your reasons in the best of your ability and I tried this poll one time about 3-4 years ago with the old Hall of Justice Forum and came away that every that the Justice League was the clear victor in that poll. However, it's could be different here and you have two options to choose from either Avengers win or Justice League win ... it's that's simple. I made the two avatars this morning just for fun ... and I made them for this poll alone!

I voted Avengers, but why are the Fantastic Four in there? I mean, I know all four have very briefly been Avengers (though not all at the same time), but... And come to think of it, given that he joined the JLA as the satellite era ended, wouldn't Steel have been a more logical choice than Cyborg?

Justice League should (not convincing) win because of the trio of Jonn Jonzz, Superman, and Wonder Woman is hard to beat ... it's would be a very close contest but with the addition of the Fantastic Four could make it interesting because they have the Thing and Human Torch could make it very nasty for Martian (Jonn Jonzz) Manhunter period.
I will try to share more later on ... but, I'm interested in what your opinion are and be fair to everyone ... again the Poll will lock on June 30th.

I think Thor, Cap and the Hulk would be more than a match for the League's trio of blowhards.

Even with the FF blended in, I see this as JLA win.
Superman, Martian Manhunter and Wonder Woman alone are at the top end of the scale.
Quicksilver is fast but doesn't have the Speed Force.
Thor pretty well matches Superman. Martian Manhunter is probably as close to Superman level as anyone, whereas the Hulk is strong but has no other powers. Pretty much the same for the Thing.
Wonder Woman is an Amazon, one of the deadliest warrior classes in the world.
Aquaman and Subby are pretty well matched.
Ant-Man gets small, but not sub-atomically small.
Firestorm is nuclear and GL can do darned near anything with that ring.
Scarlet Witch has chaos magic but Zatanna can be more precious with her spells / incantations.
Cap and Batman are a dead heat, but Bruce has more weapons than Cap.

All Iron Man has to do is generate a radiation pulse from his suit that matches red sun rays and Superman is rendered useless. Come to think of it, Vision's solar jewel could do the same thing. Scarlet Witch could also beat him, as he's vulnerable to magic. With the overrated boy scout down, and J'onn trapped in a flame cage by the Torch, I don't see most of the others being a problem for Earth's mightiest heroes.

Cyborg could block or prevent that, as could GL, or Zatanna, or Firestorm, or the Flash.
Don't forget, Superman and Wonder Woman as near-Flash level speeds as well.
Atom could tear up IM's armor from the inside.

I guess it depends on whether Grant Morrison is writing this. 'cuz Superman could just find a magic machine that bends reality to match his thoughts, and then bye bye Avengers, right?

Atom could tear up IM's armor from the inside. Thinking about it, no he couldn't: Iron Man is on a team with Ant Man, and he's the kind of guy who'd formulate plans of attack and defence against all his teammates, so he'd have electrified his suit's interior to defend against Pym, and that would also work against Palmer.

Subtract the Atom out, Cyborg would probably be able to counter Tony's plan.
This goes back to the old "DC's too powerful but Marvel's more believeable" argument.
Don't get me wrong. I like both sets of characters, but that's part of the appeal, or not, of DC's characters, is their extreme power set.

Also, just looking at the Phantom Stranger, here's what he can do, or has shown in the past : (from ComicVine.com)
The extent of the Stranger's powers seem to change upon the writer throughout his publication history. Because of this, he has an enormous amount of powers. As mysterious as his origins are, so too are his powers and where they come from. It has been suggested more than once that he cannot be killed as his presence is either protected by the universe itself, or by his own unique defensive power. as the unbound Spectre said, magic is still plentiful in the multiverse, so he can not kill him, but the Spectre turned him into a mouse. He's one of the few people in the DC Universe that are immortal beings because he is the fallen angel (not anymore, as he is retconned) . The Phantom Stranger has a wide variety of powers and abilities however that have been shown, which include:
Teleportation over huge distances Manipulation of cosmic power on a huge scale Vast Knowledge and nigh Omniscience (he knows everything about any character or situation he encounters) Time Manipulation and travel Spectral sight (where he can perceive entities invisible to others) Unarmed combat (known to throw a few punches) Mastery over magic on a huge scale Space adaptation Illusion revealing and casting Flight
The Phantom Stranger has also shown many lesser abilities throughout his comic book career, such as:
Light Projection - Used himself as a living beacon to help a stranded craft land on a runway.
Lasers - He has projected a strong laser from his finger tips to cut through walls to reveal hidden secrets.
Levitation - This has been shown many times
Swordsmanship - Though rare he has taken up the sword to defend himself and others.
Restructuring Matter - As he has transformed a shower curtain rod into a sword to fight off animated gargoyles.
I would think if all other factors are equal, PS alone would be the deciding factor in winning this battle.

I went with the Avengers in part because the Avengers function as a team, while the Satellite era JLA is more a bunch of people with powers who hang out together. Thanks to the Gardner Fox methord of splitting the team up in every story so they all have solo battles, the JLA just doesn't really work together as a team, especially compared to how the Avengers train together so they can assist each other and best synergize the use of their powers and skills. While the JLA is kind of doing their every man for themselves routine, Captain America will be leading the Avengers with a unified strategy to defeat the Justice League.
This might be different if it was a later incarnation of the JLA where Martian Manhunter was coordinating everyone with his telepathy. But he didn't routinely do that until much later.

JLA gets my vote. I think it would be an out and out brawl with the final members standing Superman, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, and Firestorm (I included him as one of the last standing due to Prof Stein guiding him and his nuclear power--plus I always liked Firestorm, Ronnie and Stein version) going up against Thor, Hulk, and Captain America.
