Given Marvel has Marvel Unlimited this is a bit surprising.

I was looking at the story and it seems that it's only recent collected storylines. MU gives you their Silver and Bronze age books for their sub. Still, I was surprised as well.

Comixology is THE digital comic site. I don't see Marvel giving up their MU plan, but rather using them to offer a similar but different product on Comixology and helping to A. get more casual readers exposed to their properties and stories, and B. hope that it acts as a feeder to Marvel's own service.
Dark Horse and Dynamite are also on Comixology as well as Dark Horse's own Dark Horse Digital site.
Fantagraphics is on Comixology as well as Sequential on the iPad.

Hopefully it will force DC into something similar.

My problem is, as far as I can determine, the MU app is unavailable for download on Kindle devices which is kinda a deal breaker for me. Thus, this is at least a good start to catch up on some more current/recent events and stories.
