comicsandfriends.org/lakeeffectcomiccon/Wasn't sure I'd be able to go until now, but I'll be taking the girls there tomorrow. The show has been growing in size and is at a new, larger venue this year. No major guests of note, but I love these dealers -- really good people selling some really quality stuff. There's a little bit of overlap with dealers you'll see at Akron Comicon, but also a bunch of others you'll only find here. And I really like the family-friendly energy of the whole thing. It's rare to find a convention that caters both to hardcore collectors who want to buy/sell/talk old comics and their children. Anyway, if anyone can make it, it would be cool to see you there. With an 8 and 4 year old, I can't do any kind of real meet-up, but I'd love to say "Hi".

Couldn't make this one, due to a lack of funds at the moment, but I'm going to try to make it to Akron if I can get a few old collectible toys sold and some cheap comic steals I found flipped on eBay before then.

Just got back. I was not a fan of the new venue this year. It felt far more cramped and harder to navigate, but there were A LOT more vendors, and I scored these two beauties for insanely generous prices: And the girls had a blast, Ellie in particular when she got to meet a living/breathing Archie writer and artist whose name now escapes me. I should have taken a picture

Was it Craig Boldman? he seems to be at every Ohio area show.
