I would've voted for it as they appear as steeds, or, supernatural horses. (note to oneself related to the method for winning the CCF weekly conver contest : using a cover with supernatural horses will at least get you one point )

It's an awesome cover, so I might have voted for it. I could convince myself that the thing the Phantom Stranger is riding is a headless horse with a big eye where his head should be, therefore it's a horse, even if a rather twisted one.

A Gil Kane Son of Satan #1 with real horses trumps this for me. So sadly, I would have still stuck with my original vote.
This is a neat idea....a "What If...I had posted THIS in the classis cover contest thread" should come about!

All this talk reminds me that I was thinking of posting this cover , but I decided not to as it would've required an explanation and in general I don't like posting covers that require an explanation. In the story she is transformed into a horse (and not a centaur, it's just a stage along the way in the transformation).
