This sequence still gets me every time I read it. It was an absolutely brilliant way to enhance and crystallize Spider-Man's characterization. I also think, in terms of the 1960's, this was a "next level" scene. Scenes this dramatic and emotional rarely if ever happened in mainstream comics before this. Absolutely!

Agree on that iconic Spider-Man scene, Robert but don't want to forget a "next level" moment from 1948.

The Master Planner Story - i.e. Spider-Man #30 to #33 is the BEST Spider-Man story of all time and I was stunned how well Stan Lee & Steve Ditko written it and it was a GEM.
