Today I came across this man's art, which was on deviantart, and didn't know his name. He recently changed his account to NateStockman.
He's been published, so not technically fan art, but he's off to a start.
His first work was Anti-Hero published by Monkeybrain, and he's the penciler of Reyn from Image.
Nonetheless, he's talented and hopefully will continue to grow and advance with his career.
