Marvel made sure to keep the Steeplejack name because it was a sure fire winner.

It's past Midnight here and I'm going to vote for Phil Maurice for that unique cover featuring a Robot.

Prince Hal had me with Flash of Two Worlds right up until Crimebuster posted that Kubert beauty to steal my vote.

Marvel made sure to keep the Steeplejack name because it was a sure fire winner. Someone seems to think so. The second Steeplejack was later killed by the Scourge, but they've since introduced a third one!

Is that the same Steeplejack as the Luke Cage issue a page earlier?! Nope. The first one was a construction worker going after a crooked contractor who was responsible for the deaths of his brothers. He died fighting Cage, and the contractor then took up the identity for some reason. This is so bad, that it's good.

How could I NOT vote for the steeplejack cover and chicken pocket ?
I almost want to track that issue down.

Paradox
Lots of great covers, but that Kirby-Wood Avengers cover is one of my all-time favorites.

Mecha this time.
A lumberjack, a wrecking ball, that late 40's logo, and what was actually GL's final cover appearance in his own title is a bit of a tribute to his first. (Streaky the Wonder Dog got the final cover all to himself...) Wonder if Toth intended that?
Loved foxley and paradox's covers, too.
