It's not classic so I apologize in advance, but I have to recommend the New 52 run of Suicide Squad. It's mindless fun and zany, with a bunch of unexpected plot twists and turns. It's also dark and often hilarious. I enjoyed this iteration of the team.

Brat Pack. One of the most disturbing and wickedly fun adult takes on superheroes that I can think of. It's like a David Lynch or a Luis Buñuel super-hero series!
Rick Veitch, its author, doesn't get enough recognition. In my opinion, many big name "mature" writers could take lessons from him. Heck, he succeeded Alan Moore on Swamp Thing and didn't miss a beat!

The original Squadron Supreme 12 issue mini By Gruenwald was pretty mature. Unless by mature you mean the depiction of sex.
