I see there is one X book which is a telling of a story that we already know the outcome of. I would really like just 1 ongoing from the X camp. I will stick to back issues and enjoy the old tales if this is Marvels new status. Plenty of classic stuff to read.

Lemire has said that he's still on Old Man Logan, Moon Knight and Extraordinary X-Men when Marvel NOW hits and Taylor has said that he's still on Wolverine. Problem is that people confused the Marvel NOW thing for actual solicits.

I'm glad Slott's and Allred's Surfer is still in there. I don't read it but the book at least looks original (and I trust those two creators).
Asgard/Shi'ar war? Oh come on... The Shi'ar were bitch slapped by every cosmic civilization imaginable and now they're going against gods?
Not too happy about the impending retroactive death of Cyclops. He's about the only interesting X-person left, and his dealing with becoming the mutant Malcolm X could have been story material for years and years.
*Sigh*. It's all right. Plenty of other comics out there.

Lemire's Moon Knight must be close to the time for the first collection by now, I'm going to give it a look when it comes out. I might try the Slott/Allred Surfer too, eventually. I'll wait to hear what Lemire has in mind for that Thanos series, but Deodato as artist isn't a bad thing.

10 years ago maybe, but Deodato has been using Poser so much these past few years that it really affects his work IMHO.

You're probably right about Deodato - I haven't read anything in detail the last few years so I'm going by vague impressions left from fleeting glances at previews, etc, and even those weren't that recent.

I bought the first 10 or so issues on Comixology but decided to stop that (I just can't justify non-DRM comics) so now I'm just going to follow it on Marvel Unlimited. |

It's only a matter of time before DC & Marvel both go DRM, but it hasn't happened yet.
