Despite hundreds of challengers over the last twenty five years, Lobo is still my undefeated undisputed heavyweight champion. A belt he took from Wolverine, who was the champ for about fifteen years.
On the other hand, I like Rick Jones. I like Snapper Carr even more.

Darkseid. Thanos. Apocalypse.
Too damn powerful and too damn predictable.
Anytime they show up in a title I usually drop said title.

Lobo was first in Omega Men. Like #3 and 4, I think, which was in the 80's. Don't know about Venom, but he was for sure his most popular in the 90's.

While this question has been asked in other threads I am inspired by the quality and passion of the answers. I already disagree with three of the choices. I know. I'm almost afraid to come back. Didn't know Thanos was fairly disliked. :-( But I was expecting the usual Deadpool, Wolverine, Carnage and Venom. And I knew at least one other person I remembered shares in my dislike of Rick Jones. But I have to say, foxley isn't wrong about Thanos, in the reason he dislikes him. Maybe it's because I haven't read what Marvel is doing with him now, and am not a rabid Marvel movie goer, so maybe like Wolverine and Deadpool, he's not the great, to me anyway, character I remember him to be up to DnA's GotG. adam.w, Thanos is disliked because he is the most powerful and clever character created in the last 40 years. People always hate the top dog. Lebron James, The Yankees, the Cowboys, Thanos. It's lonely at the top.

I don't 'hate' any character(s) per se but there are those I can find highly annoying probably because I have little interest in reading of them.
Top of the list right now is Deadpool. Over-used, over-exposed, over-hyped.
I do like Rick Jones more than Snapper Carr. I never saw any real use for Snapper.
I never had this problem with Wolverine. He grew over-exposed as well but my only real beef with him was when he made an Avenger. The reason why Steve brought him onto the team was, is, and remains complete and utter rubbish.

Bizzaro.
It’s always been Bizzaro; it's the only one. Yes, with all the inane characters and concepts introduced into Weisinger’s Superman, somehow this bumbling caricature broke through into the popular culture. I see Bizzaro and I know what follows will be a pointless, directionless non-story, essentially nothing more than a collection of bits. And a complete waste of time and money.

Well, I dislike Wolverine and Deadpool, for reasons of overexposure more than anything else. But I truly loathe Thanos. He started as Darksied rip-off with a completely uninteresting motivation ("I want to kill everyone in the universe"), and since then has turned into Jim Starlin's ultimate Mary Sue, whom we're all supposed to sit around and admire (for reasons that completely escape me), with no one ever being allowed to defeat him. Except for Squirrel Girl. And even here note how careful they were to nail it down, trying to leave no wriggle room for Starlin or anybody else to retcon her victory away. And yet they still did. In Thanos' next appearance he gloated on how his Thanosi (his version of Doombots) were capable of fooling even the Watcher.

My first exposure to Rick Jones was Captain Mar-Vell in the 70's, and later the Hulk reprints, and then Rom. I didn't, and don't, dislike him. Didn't know about the A-Bomb thing, which sounds really stupid. Who I do really dislike is Snapper Carr. What's his current status anyway ? Hopefully I either never see him again or someone actually does something interesting with him, even making him a villain. Snapper was great in Hourman...

There's no character that a good writer can't salvage! Except Silver/Bronze-Age Superman. Not even Alan Moore could make him interesting. Oops. I went there. Where's the thumb down button?
