I like this way of rebooting the concept without negating the original Rocketeer story.

My first reaction was why mess with this and try to shoehorn diversity, especially in a period film. However, there are a couple of pioneering African-American women aviators in the 30s and 40s and, without negating Cliff, this could be a way to explore that examine what happened to the rocket pack, after Cliff. I'd like to have more Cliff; but, this has potential, if handled with some sensitivity. However, it's a Hollywood franchise and sensitivity isn't the watchword. Hope the spirits of Dave Stevens and Bettie Page are watching out for this.
