Any of the new Rebirth stuff any good or is it just overhyped fad gimmick reboot/remake that wont last.
Although I hear Superman Rebirth 1,2 and 3 have been pretty cool so far

I've really like Superman so far, and I liked Wonder Woman, Birds of Prey and Batgirl a lot too. And While I like the team aspect in Detective it's only average.

Only title I'm reading is Aquaman. It's been OK, but nothing groundbreaking or spectacular.

Superman - I really like this mix of new/old. The 90's Superman married to Lois with a son (Jon). Batman - It's average. Tough to follow the new 52 run IMO. Nightwing - so far so good. Nice to see Dick back in costume. Wonder Woman - Great art. Rucka has good ideas but his pacing is soooo slow. Aquaman - Good storyline. Better than most. Not as good as Johns/Reis new 52 stories. Flash - I really like the writer's work on Dark Horse Capt Midnight. Here his pacing is slower. Green Arrow - Great art. Story is average. Titans - the title I am most surprised about. So far my favorite. Hmmm the only one I read that is monthly instead of twice/month.

Im enjoying the Superman books (surprise, surprise...), and it's great seeing Wally in Titans. I'm not getting the main Flash book, but will probably check out the issue in which the 2 Wallys meet.

Like dupersuper I'm a pretty big Super Family fan, and these look really good.
I'll definitely be getting them later.
Wonder Woman looks fantastic as well.

See, I didn't like Nightwing at all, I like Dick Grayson in fun, colorful stories like Robin: Year One, most of his run as Batman and Grayson. The whole continuation of the Court of Owls story is just dull to me and totally the wrong tone.

Like I posted in another thread, with DCBS sale of $1.50 each and bundles so you can get them in sets I had to give them a try. I really like the new DC. Superman is def a stand out book, like where action is going too.

Action is good and that New Superman book had an interesting start and the preview images for Supergirl look good too so as others have said it's a great time to be a Superman fan.

The Hellblazer was a pass for me. Haven't read either of the previous New 52 takes on Constantine, but this one shot was pretty weak sauce.
Batman's artwork is nice. Pretty much it and Detective have been one long preview of some up coming storyline. There is some nice page framing work on the Detective where the guy doing the book did some JH Williams III type layouts I thought were cool. I've got them both on the pull list.
I had read the Superman and Action off the shelf and I'm an issue behind. Both are somewhat sequel stories to both previous Superman storylines some from a couple decades ago and some from the New52. It's solid, if you liked Triangle era Superman, you will find something to like in the books.
I read the Nightwing one too. It was pretty much a set the stage story tying up the previous title and setting up the status quo. I've probably read 50-60 issues of Nightwing in the original volume, but never really fell in love with the character. I love Batman but haven't really become that big a fan of the other Batman Family titles, even though I have read quite a few.

Yeah I was pretty disappointed with Hellblazer, I really liked his old run (back in the mid-2000's I think) but the first issue just felt really rote. I'm giving it one more issue because I did like the art but it's going to have to be good.

That Hellblazer issue was like what one would have been like if it was done by DC around 78', it was real retro but not in a good way. The coloring was so bleh, all grays and browns too.
So many super hero comics are just dull, I kind of wish there was a bit more "go for it" on these books. The thing I don't get is why so few of these comics turn the scenes back to the bad guys and show their plans, actually use them as characters more, especially in the Bat books where Gotham and the rogues are really should be main characters in the book. You see that more in say the Punisher, because the main protagonist works alone and isn't really much of a conversationalist; but there is no reason it wouldn't work in a Bat book.

The whole continuation of the Court of Owls story is just dull to me and totally the wrong tone. Now that I've read Nightwing (and Titans) I can comment. I'm glad Dick Grayson is back, but I'm not sure what they're going with here. They mention when he was Batman and Damian was his side kick, yet they act as if he's not really his own man.. Batman has to poke him to make his own decisions, and they all seem far too young in Titans... MY Dick Grayson should be 28-32 years old, and a hero and leader in his own right.. we've already had the stories where he breaks out of Batman's shadow... I don't need it again. It feels like the Titans are at least 5 years younger (and less experienced) than they should be. I didn't mind the Rebirth issue, which was a nice recap of the Grayson issues I didn't read, but getting punked by a mercenary was not cool, and we don't need a replacement Batman... Nightwing IS a mentor, he doesn't need one. I do like him being out of Gotham, though, and the Parliment of Owls thing is OK as long as it's one story and done and not his permanent occupation. It also still annoys me that Lillith is shoehorned into Titans.. but more importantly, why can't DC let the best run of any of their comics in the 80s (arguably ever) exist? I don't get the hatred of the Wolfman/Perez Titans. Is it just because they need Cyborg to be the JLA's token black guy? Is it that they're so focused on dancing around a Dick-Barbara romance they need Starfire to be elsewhere? It just drives me NUTS.

Although I hear Superman Rebirth 1,2 and 3 have been pretty cool so far I do really like the concept of Jon, and Superman being a dad, but they story itself started out blah and is quickly heading toward confusing dreck. I'll stick with it a bit longer, but I'm alot less excited about it.
