A contest with no winners and losers; just fun! I tried a more regimented version of this a long while back at our old forum, but I thought I'd try a more open-ended version this time.


How it works

A user will provide a scanned panel or series of panels with the words removed. Others will then add their own captions to the panels in order to create a humorous scenario. There are no winners or losers, and there is no deadline for responding -- just fun and laughter. Members can add new scanned images whenever they like; members can respond to scanned images whenever they like. It's that simple.

Really, this stuff isn't complicated.

To add captions to an existing image: If you're using a Windows computer, you can easily add text in PAINT. If you're using a mobile device, a number of free apps like Pic-Say will allow you to do this. To then share the image here, you will need a photo hosting site like Imgur (which is free). Upload the image there and then place a link to it as a reply to this thread.

To create a new caption-less image: Once you have the image (either via download, scanner, or digital camera), you'll need a basic photo editing program that will allow you to blank out the captions. You could probably do this in MS PAINT, but I personally prefer Paint.net as it gives you a lot more control. You'll then need to upload the image via a photo hosting site like Imgur (which is free). Upload the image there and then place a link to it as a reply to this thread.
