WOW. I'm impressed that they got virtually everyone involved with the film to be a part of this. Saw the film about ten years back and didn't think it was as terrible as people said it was -- especially for a 1 million dollar production. I definitely want to check this out when it's released.

I saw this movie twice in my lifetime despite the 1 Million Dollar Production of this movie; I'm warning everyone that buys this movie of the production of this movie that was done very cheaply and I've very mixed feelings about it. Buyer Beware and I'm cautioned everyone here to buy this movie. If you like Roger Corman's Movies this maybe your cup of tea. It's has it's moments and I'm borrowing a title form a Clint Eastwood Movie that sums up exactly what I mean here ...
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly ...

I finally saw it a while back-I was expecting worse. You could tell the people who made it did the most with what they had, which is more than I can say for the 2000s FF movie.

From a story standpoint, the Corman film is far better than the Fox films.
I still recall reading an article about making the film, in the late, lamented Film Threat magazine. I still say its better than that POS Captain America, from Albert Pyun. That thing made Reb Brown look like Christopher Reeve.

It's available on Amazon Prime if anyone has an account and wants to watch it for free. It's well done, though a lot of talking heads. Makes a good pairing with the book Marvel: The Untold Story in that it talks about suits screwing creatives without even trying to get a good product out of it.
Corman's name is prominent, since he's the most "known quantity," but I don't see him as either a screwer or screwee. He was just about the only person who could've taken the deal and made it happen.
As a couple of people said, it looks cheap, obviously, but not really bad or ham-handed. (Unfortunately I only saw it once on a bootleg VHS at least 20 years ago probably, and it was barely visible--may look for another copy, or, more likely, goad one of my friends into buying it at a show.) Also the, apparently, family atmosphere among the cast and crew, as well as the almost guerilla techniques to get it done (which is something the crew probably picked up from working at Corman's New Horizons) make it more appealing than stuff cranked out by big-money studios.
Speaking of family, two second-generation performers in the cast: the guy who plays Reed is the son of Wilfred Hyde-Whyte (who you either know or you don't) and Doom's father is the great Robert Culp.

Watched this last night.
It was interesting. Brought me right back to my early days of fandom and wide world that opened up when I started going to conventions and finding things like bootlegs of the FF flick.

I've only seen it once on a grainy VHS bootleg tape. I imagine the DVD copies like the ones they showed in the doc, might look much better these days.
