I was wondering if others here bought these titles & what they thought of them.
I bought every issue & was excited to see Dynamite building a super hero universe made up of "forgotten" Golden Age heroes. I thought they did a good job overall of updating the heroes with some exceptions. I liked having Black Terror as the main hero but was disappointed with the way Daredevil was handled.
I really thought the series had a lot of potential & am still disappointed that we never got the conclusion in Volume III.

This is one of those series that I constantly flip through and tell myself that I'm going to read.
One of these days I've actually got to bite the bullet and pick it up. It looks fun.

I got them back when they came out. I found them pretty stiff, but enjoyed learning about all the golden age heroes I'd never reead before.

Not bad at all ... still debating to add this to my pull list and looks pretty darn good!
It's could be a favorite of mine ...

I'd heard this series take a TON of dissing years ago.
If you read the Earth X trilogy of titles and liked them, which I did, from Marvel, you'll probably like these.
As is the case with lots of Dynamite's stuff, like Valiant's in the 90's, IMO, the art is ok, but that's not the real draw.
The story is.
I like quirky off-beat things, non-traditional Big Two, and this was much better than I had hoped.
You can pick up issues for $ 1 or less and they're worth it.
Haven't read the sequel yet but am genuinely looking forward to it.
We'll probably see the third series, someday. I'll def get it.
If they did more after that, and they were as good as these, I'd continue to buy.
Really amazed it was so good and that very few other publishers have tried something like this.
If anyone doesn't like this I'd like to hear why. I was very impressed with it.

It never did much for me. The art and writing struck me as mediocre, and the Captain America-style "heroes out of time" is a trope I find completely tedious now.
Also, while this is just a personal bias, while I totally get why someone would want to do a story about all their favorite Golden Age characters, I'd have enjoyed it a lot more if they had focused on one 'universe' (the way Terra Obscura does the Nedor line). I'd have loved to see a Lev Gleason or a Holyoke or Ace or Harry "A" Chesler Publications revival.

I'd like that too but I doubt it would sell very well

And yes the appeal was seeing the more obscure Golden Age characters in action. Was it great? No but it was entertaining enough for me to enjoy. And part of the appeal (at least for me) was to see characters from different publishers interacting in one book. I also liked it when they tried the solo books. I was hoping for Vol III & more solo books. I would have liked a P:SP book every week on the stands.
And I agree the Capt America "heroes out of time has been over used but I can overlook it when I can get these heroes "back". Plus I did like how the heroes (& villains) had more of an effect on events then is usually depicted in most comics.

Yes, the heroes out of time theme has been played before, but how many other things have also been played ?
Everyone rips everyone else off, and there's very little original under the sun, it's how well it's done.
Eventually I'll re-read PSP again, which isn't often for me.
It was fresh. That's what I love about good indie comics : being able to do, and doing, things that the Big 2 can't, or won't do.
Captain Midnight over at Dark Horse is another man out of time, but it was pretty good.

Capt Midnight from Dark Horse was one of my favorite series. Sad that it ended.

I'm not surprised, but it was surprisingly good.
Dark Horse just hasn't had a very strong track record with spandex.
Ghost and X have done alright.
