Infantino and Anderson anyone? Oh God yes. In retrospect I see that many of the Silver Age covers that captivated me back then were by that team.

Smith and Adkins Thank you for mentioning Dan Adkins (though I believe the particular Conan cover you included is not inked by him). Adkins was one of my favorite J. Buscema inkers; I loved that team on some of those early issues in the 1968 Sub-Mariner series, and also in an issue or two of the Silver Surfer series. I felt that Adkins truly enhanced Buscema's work rather than buried/distorted his pencils (as I feel Palmer often did, as I mentioned some posts back in this thread).

Wood and Sinott were the kings huh? How long was Joe on FF with Kirby? Sinnott inked Kirby on Fantastic Four #5 (July 1962), one page of #6, 44-92, 94, 95, 98-102 & part of #108 (March 1973), and various covers between #164 & 200 (November 1978). Actually FF #108 (that mishmash issue that included Kirby pages intended for #102) was cover dated March 1971.

Kubert and himself, natch! Yeah--he's on the list of people who shouldn't be inked by others. I'd add (limiting to people who've worked in mainstream situations where separate pencillers and inkers is the norm): Wrightson, Kaluta, Simonson, Robbins, Aparo, Cardy.

Has anyone mentioned Steve Ditko inking Jack Kirby's pencils yet? I think I'm right in saying that this Silver Age dream team pairing only occured on an early issue of Fantasic Four and a back-up strip in Amazing Spider-Man, but man, that artwork looked mighty sweet! EDIT: Here are some samples...

The Kirby Ditko combo was also in play on Incredible Hulk #2, cover and interiors. They also worked together on Dr Droom in Amazing Adventures #1 and a few Spider-Man covers, most notably Amazing Fantasy #15.

Has anyone mentioned Steve Ditko inking Jack Kirby's pencils yet? I picked up this 1960 beauty a few years ago--couldn't resist the exquisite Kirby-Ditko cover.

A one-time only (I think) pairing: Adams pencils, Kubert inks. Here's the cover (Kubert only) And a page...
