50 cents? When the hell did that come out? 10 years after mod was over? Great cover by the way. Guess LSD doesn't go stale

Well, the more you know, the more you can learn. Great find for the contest Prince Hal. Only 36 pages and at 50 cents it was priced like underground comix. From Western Publishing, of all people. Groovy (Whoops-different publisher)

Ok hopefully this week I am more on track (I see my attempted post for last week has made an appearance now...sigh if only I had waited)

Well played Hal I saw that but passed it up as I didn't think it was a comic. Digging down a little shows it was indeed, and how surprising, from Western of all publishers

Groovy (Whoops-different publisher) It would be interesting to see, at that price, what kind of advertisers it had and if it was targeting an older (teen-age) audience. Unless the premium price was because there were no ads. EDIT: From GCD, looks like no ads, but one story titled "Tiger Morse's Teenie Weenie" has a note, "Heavily illustrated text article about a store on 53rd and Broadway in New York City. Possibly a paid advertisement." Maybe the whole thing was some kind of promo. About Tiger Morse

About Tiger Morse...or someone out of their gourd who noticed the pretty swirly colors of the cover wouldn't think twice about the price when slapping down their 2 bits. -M

Mods on scooters (and scooters were an intrinsic part of the mod movement):

The cheap editor figured he'd save on the ink of "your pants" instead of you, since he figured in was painfully obvious it was her slut daughter's pants.
