Best Single Issue or Story: Peanuts: A Tribute To Charles M. Schulz, BOOM! Studios
From Me: I just picked up this BOOM! Tribute to Mr. Schultz and they did an excellent job with it and I was stunned how well they put it together. My friend and I are now recognizing BOOM! and they could be an excellent partner with Dynamite Comics that we both loved so well.
Best Syndicated Strip or Panel: Bloom County, Berkeley Breathed, Universal Uclick
Hero Initiative Lifetime Achievement Award: Joe Giella
I'm only familiar with these three and all the rest are worthy to be awarded ... Congratulations Winners!

That's a damn fine list of comics. Too bad I'm already reading most of it, usually I like these kind of things to discover new stuff.
BOOM has a lot of good stuff, but also a lot of licensed comics which I found pretty meh (I got the Boom Humble Bundle some time ago so I got to sample a lot of series.)

It's nice to see (for the most part) this year's awards are a little more mainstream.. I feel like the last few years they've gone too far out of the way to award obscure stuff that captures the imagination of the very small niche within the niche group of regular posters to comic book forums.
