That's how a lot of those Vertigo anthology are. Forgettable but alright story with nice art.
Saga is a wonderful title. Shax, I think you'd like it. I'm a BKV fan from way back and the only thing I haven't read is Runaways and Pride of Baghdad but have loved everything else. He and Fiona Staples' Saga is worth the buzz it gets.
Ish, I was shocked how much I liked Project : Super Powers. They're supposedly finally getting around to a third volume and I can't wait, but I loved the X trilogy he and Ross did at Marvel too, FWIW.

The only Vertigo anthology I've read is the American Vampire one. I thought it was alright, would work as an annual but definitely not a replacement for the series. I'd check out another anthology.
