I think we're going to see a lot of the build up on the Steve/Wonder Woman relationship in the Year one story, which has been pretty good so far too and I'd also like to see Diana Prince make a come back too. I think so too. I recall in the New 52 mess that Wonder Woman and Steve had been close at one point and the relationship soured. I wonder if that is still the case and now they will be reconciled and back together. They seemed awfully friendly in the last WW issue that took place before the Barbara Minerva issue. Some would say WW doesn't need a boyfriend, however I found that part of her story to be a favorite. An immortal princess gives up everything she has ever known to follow someone who steals her heart. I don't need them to be Lois Lane/Superman in fact that forced kind of paring in the past is part of what always made Steve feel so two dimensional to me. I just want them to have a well written relationship, romantic or otherwise and that seems to be what Rucca is doing, I don't think they're currently involved but they seem to still be close and it's obvious it was once more than what it currently is(what ever that may be) and it's interesting so I'm looking forward to letting it play out.

Deathstroke #4 Plot: the Daddy Daughter bonding trip goes to Gotham, where Deathstroke is hoping to con Batman into helping him. having him and Rose undercover fighting bikers was pretty fun, and his 'trap' for Batman was really awesome, but the plot is starting to hurt my head. Also, young-ish, cheerful Wintergreen is weird. Plot: 3/5 Art: 3/5

I don't remember which of these threads the discussion was in, but I wanted to mention they did try to get BoP a bit into continuity.. Frankie turns up! That's good that they acknowledged she existed.. no mention of why she's not really helping, though.... and I feel like they should have said something about HER being Oracle.

Yeah, I was glad to see her again and I hope that once the world tour is over we go back to the old supporting cast. I'm liking the recent run so far but the last run on Batgirl was one of my favorite runs since Morrison was on Batman and Robin.

I got to say that I think 'Night of the Monster Men' might be the worst Batman story since 'Hush Returns'. Wow, they should have just had Batman pull out a can of Bat Monster Repellant since they kept pulling a new gadget and/or side kick out every couple pages. Some of the artwork was decent, but this was pretty much Winick's pretty bad and now forgotten Scarecrow story cranked up to max. Very weak sauce when you consider the original golden age Hugo Strange/Monster Men story and Matt Wagner's modern take a few years ago.

Yeah, it was a horrible mess and I can't believe anyone thought it was a good idea and not only was it a bad story but it was incredibly disruptive for the other books too.

Adventures of Augusta Wind: The Last Story #3 I really enjoyed the first Augusta Wind story, back a few years ago... it felt alot like the original Maxx, and was a really fun light hearted story. I'm not sure why I didn't get the 1st 2 of this new incarnation, but that inclination was correct.. this one is alot less fun. It seems they're trying to make it into a symbolic meta-story, toying with literature as a whole in the manner of the Unwritten, but it just doesn't work well with a little kid and her imaginary friends as the characters. The art (which seems to be a different person)... attempts to be the same style, but only suceeds sometimes. Plot: 2/5 Art: 2/5

James Bond: Hammerhead #1 Thought I'd give it another shot after the Warren Ellis storyline was disappointing. Not too bad as far as it goes, but I defintely didn't feel like I got my 4 dollars worth... lots of splash, and the art wasn't so very exciting as to justify it. Might be decent to read as a trade when it's all out, but not worth the single issues for sure. Plot wise, Bond tries to catch a hacker and fails, then gets send to be the bodyguard for an arms dealer. I assume it'll all be connected in an issue or two. Plot 2/5 Art 3/5

James Bond: Hammerhead #1 Plot 2/5 Art 3/5 I did the same thing and felt about the same way, it wasn't terrible but there just wasn't anything all that interesting either. Also, did it strike you as odd that their giant, new superweapon just looked like a comically large pistol?

Yeah, not the best design ever.
