At NYCC CM Punk hosted an Infinity Gauntlet panel which essentially was a one-on-one interview with Starlin... he talks about the Kirby connection to Pip the Troll, his fascination with death, how the death of Robin came about and what he's working on now... I love the Robin/Jimmy Olsen story, so 80s -M

I posted the same thing in a thread less than an hour before you did ICC. One of the mods might want to merge the threads.

Has that Fury story been published ?
I remember reading about the Infinity serum in Marvel Spotlight, but that was 30 years ago. Was the embezzling in there ?
Starlin and Stan clashing. I could see that.

That's the first time I've ever heard him speak. So I guess in a intangible way I met my hero. Very neat thanks for posting the link guys.
I dunno who the interviewer is but I thought it was an interesting mistake that he named Warlock as a character Starlin created.

It's a mistake that is widespread, as Starlin is more associated with the character than Roy Thomas and Gil Kane.

Starlin mentioned a series of books with Eros and Thanos drawn by Alan Davis. Can't wait for those.

I guess they're both quite prominent to me so while Starlin was the first I read I don't forget Thomas' contribution either. I still need to get the HC volumes he recently did with Ron Lim I believe.

It's a mistake that is widespread, as Starlin is more associated with the character than Roy Thomas and Gil Kane. Or Jack Kirby and Stan Lee? As much as I love their creating the character for Thomas or Starlin to retool, I think that the lack of his use outside FF and Thor, is why their work might be forgotten. I'll always remember them as his creator, but others did more with him then they did for whatever reasons. And those Thor issues rant with Starlin's as best Warlock stories. Especially Kirby's art.

Starlin built on the remake of Warlocks personality that Thomas created. Before that, he was a generic talking character that just existed to be an opponent.

Yeah I don't know if there's any documented history on Him and what was decided to have been done with him. Between FF and Thor there was almost two years span. So maybe even in Thor Him was and after thought. As it was almost three years to Marvel Premiere #1 where he became Adam Warlock.

I really enjoyed the Thomas- Warlock series. From the Gil Kane art to Bob Browns work it was a treat and I loved he Jesus controversy. It was weird how they cancelled it in the middle of a story.
