Daredevil. In addition to his two runs on the title and the Fear Itself limited series, I tend to include his collaborations with Bill Sienkiewicz on the ground-breaking (IMO) Daredevil:Love and War as well as the Elektra:Assassin limited series as part of his Daredevil work, even though Elektra:Assassin didn't involve Daredevil (maybe Matt shows up in a flashback panel, I think thats it).
Miller's influence on Batman is harder to gauge as there were other creators who influenced the character heavily both before and after Miller. I'm sure Miller's portrayal influenced Batman's depiction in both Burton and Nolan's movies but its hard to say how much comes from Miller vs other Batman writers/artists.
Man, I sure loved Miller's work back in the 80s. Once he started doing indie work (Sin City, Hard Boiled, Martha Washington) his work for the big two seemed to verge on self-parody. Not sure if its a matter of his aesthetic evolving or lack of editorial constraints. I find myself not very interested in what he's up to these days.

Also Dark Knight Returns was insanely well put together on a formalist/technical level, and synthesized a lot of stuff that had never really been part of American Mainstream comics before, drawing from Greek Theater (complete with the media acting as "chorus") and Manga and European comics all at once. That's very true, and, for me, a big part of the excitement as it was coming out, much more than the story. But I was never much of a fan of Miller after DKR. The Sin City stories I read seemed thin and more an excuse for the art than something interesting to read. And Martha Washington felt like a political platform more than a story. Nothing seemed to match the synergy of art and story like his Batman (or Daredevil).
