I bought Friday-only tickets for myself and Kurt (Cei-U!) the day after they went on sale.
We'll be having our usual Saturday-night dinner near the con also; details forthcoming.
Looking forward to meeting you, speakerdad!

Sorry to hear that but have a great time with your club event! I'm at the age of which I have a difficult time enjoying these events because they are so noisy, crowded, and not my cup of tea. I will be 58 and I understand that Carrie Fisher and some of the Star Wars personalities will be on hand and all that. March 3rd and 4th is our weekend trip to Portland, Oregon and we are planning on having a river cruise on the Columbia River for dinner on the 3rd and visit some historical sites as well.

I can't argue with "noisy and crowded," neither of which I'm a fan of (especially because as a wheelchair user crowds can be very uncomfortable), but it's worth it in my estimation. Or at least it has been so far. It's possible I may eventually get as burned out on the crowding at ECCC as I did with San Diego but I'm not there yet. (By the way, I'll be 59 by the time it rolls around.) At any rate, even if you opt to never visit the con proper, I hope you'll be able to make the CCF/CBR dinner one of these years. We'd all love to meet you. Cei-U! I summon the open invitation!

It's frustrating when my clubs schedules things and I can't control that and I would love to attend the CCF/CBR dinner someday and my club dates makes it impossible to attend it. My only hope is 2018 and that's might be the only time that I can attend it. Thanks for your kind words here and hopefully the following year will be better.
