Anyone know what new Star Wars comic series I should jump into ?
The one from 2013 or the newer one from Marvel?
Another question which series has an issue where Luke finds a lightsaber junk pile from a Hutt?

It depends on what you're looking for. The Dark Horse books was good and didn't get bogged down in Extended Universe stuff or tie ins with other books. It reads well as a self contained book. The Marvel series feels more "authentic," especially in the early issues. The scene with Luke and the Hutt comes from this series. It ties in with the Darth Vader ongoing and crosses over with it from time to time. I would recommend both, honestly.

I really like the recent Darth Vader series from Marvel if you're looking a new Star Wars fix but there's a lot of great books from Dark Horse too.

The 2013 is okay, I usually love Wood's work but I wasn't a huge fan of it here as the dialogue felt a little colorless at times. Vader Down is a lot of fun though.

I would say the current series from Marvel is pretty good and the Darth Vader series that just finished was fantastic.
If you have it, or dont mind reading digital comics, I would advise you to get Marvel Unlimited. There are sooo many issues on there which can work as a good way to check out some of this stuff.

The Marvel ongoing Star Wars series is pretty good, while the Dark Vader series was Star Wars at it's very best. No Star Wars fan could not be impressed with that story, it was brilliant. So yeah, the current Marvel ongoing and spin-off titles are worth checking out for sure.

I assume when you say the '2013 Star Wars' you mean the last Dark Horse run... both that one and the current Marvel run take place in-between the 1st and 2nd movies, so all the main characters are there. I think the Marvel one is doing a better job telling stories that fit in with the movies, but both are pretty decent. It's the Marvel series where Luke is captured by a Hutt (Grakkus by name) who is a self-styled Jedi Historian. he's got lightsabers, holocrons, all sorts of stuff.
The Darth Vader series is the best of the Marvel stuff, IMO... it just ended. It tells the story of Vader getting back into the Emperor's good graces after his failure in A New Hope. It introduces some great new characters (including evil R2D2 and C3PO, a Wookie Bounty Hunter, a couple dark jedi clones, and Doctor Aphra, who is my favorite of the Marvel series and who is spinning into her own series.. not sure if it's a mini or taking the place of the Vader series), and tells a great story. Some people say its a little slow, but I really enjoyed it all the way through.
Marvel is also putting out a rotating mini series... they've done Leia, Lando, Chewbacca and (currently) Han, as well as a clone wars era one and 'Shattered Empire' which is sorta a prequel to Force Awakens... none of them have been great, but all of them are decent... the Han one that is about to wrap up is the best of the bunch, IMO.
Finally, there was a 12 issue series from the character from the Rebels cartoon (didn't read it, but have heard good things), and a Poe Dameron series, which is trying to be Rogue Squadron, but not quite making it. Its nice to see some bits of what happened leading up to the movie, though.

Yes I am talking about the 2013 Dark Horse Star Wars series. I read all of it just a couple of days ago.
It was ok just not great or anything. Story reminded me of the repeated use of finding a new planet HQ from the Allegiance and Choices of One novels.
I did manage to read Shattered Empire the other day it was pretty decent I guess. the last issue was kind of a dud I guess involving some tree branches for unknown reasons.
