It's the never vaunted "something apparently trapped in the body of something else" themed cover. Here's a very lame example Do your very worst ladies and gentlemen. (just enough ambiguity in that statement for Mr Bailey to derail the thread completely with one his asides) The rules: -Post one, and only one, classic cover that fits the theme of the contest. -Cover must be from a published comic book or collected volume published before Jan 1 2004 (this is a classics comic forum and we voted 10 years as the unofficial standard for being a classic). -Covers must be posted before voting begins. -Voting runs from 12 AM PST Tuesday until 12 AM Wednesday PST. -Vote by posting the name of the poster whose cover best fits the theme or that you simply like the most. Put the name in bold. -The winner of the contest is the entrant with the most votes after the voting period ends. The winner chooses the theme for the next week's contest. -If you don't think the cover fits the theme, don't vote for it, don't post disparaging remarks about it. If a cover is more recent that the Classic time frame, kindly point it out and the poster can choose an alternate before voting begins. -Have fun!

Bit of a borderline case, but it seems clear to me that a cop is trapped in the body of a dog, while a dog is trapped in the body of a traveling salesman (clearly retaining his canine color blindness).

4thpip's defintely counts - that's clearly a policeman in a dog's body being arrested by a dog in a policeman's body
mars... why the hell not. maybe they have body swopped, maybe they havent. doesnt matter if they have actually changed bodies in the story - just as long as cover suggests they might have.

Realizing I had posted a transformation, not a bodily entrapment (though this one seems to be voluntary). SA is a treasure trove of such covers, including the grandaddy, posted by DE Sinclair.

We'll use "something apparently in the body of something else" rather than trapped to increase the spectrum of nonsense
