I was always looking at the PSA pages in the DC Comics books, through the 60's anyway. Pushed and created by Jack Schiff, the very liberal editor (comparatively speaking) thought that the comics were a good vehicle for promoting social change and good values. And they filled out several issues of Comic Cavalcade near the end of WWII.

There were at least three Teen Titans anti-drug issues(I read the first two; the third is used in the illustration for this thread on the home page). The comics featured most of the NTT lineup(and Speedy guest-starred in one of them), with one notable exception: Robin was left out, apparently due to some existing merchandising deals elsewhere. He was replaced by a new character, the Protector, a non-super-powered costumed crimefighter, most of whose dialogue consisted of lecturing drug dealers on the harmful effects of drugs...as he punched them out.

The Amazing Spider-Man / All Detergent Giveaway - 1979. The ocver was John Romita's updated version of the Ditko cover for Amazing Spider-Man Annual #2 (1965). As announced on the cover, the issue featured yet another retelling of Spidey's origin.
