I don't know, "self-terminating if you don't do what we tell you" doesn't sound like a thing. You might as well make them fire you unless there is something else I don't know about.

Arizona is a right to work state. They can change your job description/function/role and there is nothing you can say or do about that as long as they supply a job for you to do. You cannot argue the changes so ONLY 2 choices, accept the changes while being employed or to self term by resigning from your role. Making them fire you means to take the position changes and doing something for being terminated, which NOT performing your job will be documented so they have reasons for termination and not being responsible to provide unemployment.

Yeah blocking really doesn't accomplish much. All the telemarketers will do is trade off or use another #. Easier to simply ignore and they eventually give up over time. At least I hope so😊

At least I hope so😊 I kind of wonder how they even got my cell number because I never give it out, like ever. Not online and hardly in public. Only guess I can come up with is that maybe Verizon sold it?

So latest news is California doing another massive lockdown closing movie theaters and restaurants once more AND Hong Kong closing Disneyland. Can you say the WORLD was in too big of a rush in reopening before they knew Covid was under control? The almighty dollar more important than lives. Truly sad and methinks Winter is going to be even worse than anticipated.

At least I hope so😊 I don’t answer my phone unless I recognize the number. If it’s something important they’ll leave a voicemail. If they don’t then they really don’t want to talk to me.

My momma taught me morality & to do my best at everything I attempt. The 2nd part is with right to work states, as long as the employer can document all the appropriate "screw ups" while taking the appropriate actions to address the employee failure to perform properly it allows that the company DOES NOT bear responsibility for terminating said employee (it is the employee fault) to allow paying out of unemployment.

Wisconsin under Scott Walker was pretty much the same I think. My parents were very anti-unions but later wished they hadn't been. They thought they were personal friends with my Dad's employer up until he suddenly sold the business to someone who wanted my Dad's job in particular and he used a single leave of absence agreed to by the employer to move to a different role experimentally as grounds to give him severance based on only one year in the job he had filled for well over a decade (and fought for Sunday openings which benefited the employer more than anyone). Got a free turkey every year but at the final accounting paid steeply for every one of those birds (he really got the bird as they say).
