Is that a good thing or a bad thing, or more likely, what mixture of both? I'm still in the early phases, and at the moment the thought my daughter moving out some day is depressing to me, but she's also only 3. I imagine the teenage years might change my tune quickly. You might think that, but trust me, you won't feel that way when the time actually comes. My older daughter turns 13 this fall and even though she's sullen at times and boy crazy at others and hyperactive at others and a seething ball of neuroses at others still and she drives me nuts a lot, I cried a little last weekend when my wife and I finished painting her room. We covered up the "little girl" pink and green walls with crimson and gray "teenage" colors (quotes are my daughter's exact words), and I realized that my little girl is growing up and will be moving on with less than 6 years and I won't have my comic convention and Doctor Who buddy around any more. Cherish every second of it, even the rough times, because you only have a few years to make a positive impression on her life before the world starts to tell her what to be, and the world sucks at being a role model, so she's going to need you to be the best one she's ever going to have. My experience. My 26 yr old daughter got married last year & my 23 yr old daughter will get married in Oct. The early teen years were rough. It got a little better as they got older. It's awesome again with them as adults.
And guess what The Captain? I still have my Comic Convention buddy & movie partner. I just added her fiancé to the mix. He is discovering this "world" thru her & enjoys it.

This Spiderman cover looks like a perfect canidate for the "coming in like a wrecking ball" meme. This is what the internet has done to me. ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png) ![](https://image.ibb.co/mTRqSS/d9e5a0db0c695d0cd414895857e95b75.jpg)

You know it's true love when your wife tells you Bebe Neuwirth is in tonight's episode of Blue Bloods because Lilith tickles your fancy.

Later on today, I'll be picking up my 3rd PC ... got one for Travel, one for Documentation, and one for Internet and General Use. When, WINDOWS 7 goes away, the one for Documentation will be gone because my Nephew will be taking that PC for his own use and if I need any Documentation done ... I'll borrow that PC for the time being. My new PC will have WINDOWS 10 on it and I'm not a big fan of it. I'll have three PC for the time being because it will take me time to get used to new PC.
I know it's crazy that I'll be having three PC's ... but eventually I'll get down to two in a couple of years when my nephew informed me that Windows 7 is officially going away ... that PC will be gone and have to do some re-thinking of documentation of personal stuff. My nephew and I will have to work that problem together!

Just bought the Kindle editions of Mark Evanier's Kirby, King of Comics and Bill Schelley's bio of Otto Binder. I realized it'd be a helluva lot easier to finish my book with these in my reference library than without so I struck while I had the funds to spare.
Cei-U! I summon the good (and essential) reading!

I ran a half marathon this morning! I finished in a little over 2 hours 17 minutes. The only races I had previously run were 5K races, although I do run longer (non-race) distances with a running club I'm a member of. I usually run about 7 miles with the club. Running 13.1 miles (the half marathon distance) was pretty tough. I ran the whole distance, because I had a personal goal not to walk at all. But towards the end, my running pace was very slow.

Traded in my 2016 Chevy Cruze for the 2018 model. This one has the keyless system, push button start, and electric seat warmers. I feel like Buck Rogers!
ETA: Lol, and isn't it funny that the first two time-displaced heroes that spring to my mind are named Rogers?😊

Most impressive. It would darn near kill me to walk 13.1 miles, much less run it.

Congrats, spoon! Running is just one of those things I have never gotten in to, but I really admire the dedication of folks like you who start at one level and work their way up. My older daughter did a two-mile run at the age of ten and is now running 5Ks with my wife two years later, with the intent to move to 10Ks in the next couple of years. It's a lot of work, and you should be proud of your accomplishment.

The wife of classic artist Mike DeCarlo was severely hurt by a driver who had neither a valid licence nor proper insurance. This is a tragedy, but we can do our bit to help. Best wishes to their family.
