Tfw when you are a relatively obscure comic book villain to the rest of the world until you get your own movie and end up on men's crew socks. ![](https://image.ibb.co/cCbNdn/05112abe705fcc101ed7a346770991f0.jpg)

Flat-earthers. Creationists. Anti-vaxxers. Detox smoothies.
The internet is becoming as toxic as the Bog of eternal stench in Labyrinth. The world wide web was supposed to bring knowledge to the people, not make them more ignorant!
As a teacher I feel like shouting “I have failed you, Anakin!”

I never traveled to foreign countries until she came into my life. Have a great trip! I did Istanbul and Egypt a couple of decades ago. It was an incredible trip really. The markets at Istanbul are fantastic...a real haggler's paradise! Egypt is a spectacular country outside of Cairo, but I found the capital to be pretty dirty and squalid. I also saw some really upsetting child poverty in Cairo, which I found distressing. Of course, that was 20 years ago, so Cairo may well be a lot less dirty now. The city is certainly worth visiting for the Great Pyramids alone, but yeah...it wasn't my favourite place in the world. The rest of Egypt is stunning and hugely fascinating though. I'll be interested to hear your reaction to Cairo.

I've only been to Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica and the Bahamas, but I'll be getting to Europe at least as some point.
My sister is engaged to a Brit. I suspect she's getting married over there but that's still not 100% decided at this point. I also suspect she'll live there as well, so I'll probably be going there, and from there hopefully to Angouleme.
Have a great time Icctrombone ! Maybe some pics to share with us as well ?

Getting ready to head to Boise. Number Two Son graduates from college today. He's going to be back home for almost exactly a month before he heads to Benin in Africa for a bit over two years with the Peace Corps.

The ruins are great to see but everyone is hustling to sell you something and it looks like they're not doing too well over here.
