Or something in the middle? A compromise? Thank you for the suggestion! I tweaked it a little to combine some old with some new, and I think I am good with this. It keeps what I like about the old one, scraps what I didn't like about it and got to bring in some Simpsons. Thanks! There's a lot of good Simpsons fanart out there. Found this really cool one of Barney dressed up like ECW's Sandman Unfortunately can't post the full, original reddit image because it's a ludicrous thing of 2000 x 4000 dimensions and I'd rather not break people's internet over it

PM Boris Johnson is now in the intensive care unit of hospital. Not great odds.

I really don't know why, but I never really grew out of stuff like Power Rangers and Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad (which I still dearly, dearly love) Nostalgia is a powerful thing. I've got all the Speed Racer DVDs and still enjoy dipping into them once in a while. Even if most of the "comedy" and filler is why fast forward was invented, the violent racing action still holds up fine.

I'm rather fond of the 60's Astro Boy, but geez is it ever violent and dark for a kids show of the period
I've heard people say that the 80's version is more faithful, but IDK. I'm attached to the 60's version because that's what I was brought up on, got four episodes of it at a Pawn Shop when I was about 10 or so

PM Boris Johnson is now in the intensive care unit of hospital. Not great odds. Yeah, pretty shocking development, although I said to my wife that he really didn't look good the last time he appeared in public. I'm not a fan of his at all politically, but fingers-crossed he recovers. His partner, who is pregnant with his child, has coronavirus too, but yesterday the news was saying that she was improving, which is good news. My brother-in-law has had it for just over a week now and isn't improving at all (he caught it off of my sister, most likely). It's a bit of a worry because there does appear to be this pattern of people who have it suddenly deteriorating after 10 days...which is exactly what's happened with Boris Johnson.

I've heard speculation that being the PM he would be more likely to get intensive care as a precautionary measure. Let's hope.
Also, Confessor, I am sorry to hear about your sister and BIL. I hope they start to recover soon and you stay safe.

Well, that's an obvious suspicion to jump to, although it really shouldn't be the case (I'm not saying it isn't though ). But yeah, much as I'm not a fan of his, I hope he is alright and recovers. Also, Confessor, I am sorry to hear about your sister and BIL. I hope they start to recover soon and you stay safe. Thanks, man. I appreciate it. My sister recovered from it fine, but my brother-in-law's symptoms are lingering and, as I say, there seems to be this period at around the 10-12 day period, where folks can sometimes suddenly deteriorate. But there's nothing we can do except watch and hope for the best.

So sorry about your sister and her husband, Confessor. Hoping for full recoveries. I have three nurses and a doctor working like hell to do what they can and every day I worry anew about their health. With you here, pal.

I think the odds only get really grim if someone is put on a ventilator, but that's mainly going by what I saw about Italy. I'm kind of worried for Icctrombone as a postal worker in the NYC area. Hoping some good thoughts for your health might help! If wishes worked a lot of people I know would be healthy and staying safe.

It's actually a plus to work outside getting the UV rays and Vitamin D , which helps to burn off the virus and boost immunity respectively. Also, I work in Staten Island which is a borough of NYC but set apart. I believe that gives me an advantage. In general, I don't get colds, flu etc. Injuries? Yes.

Yeah, I've been hearing about the cargo trucks being set up to deal with potential en masse dead bodies, so please be safe out there
And yeah, I'm the much the same way. Never get sick, probably because I'm a home-body when I'm not working minus excursions outside to get the occasional snack or two

What a freaking stressful and bizarre year this has been so far, and we’re only a quarter of the way in.

Yep. I’m so sad my daughter won’t get to finish out the last year of preschool before going to kindergarten. Just an abrupt stop. They’re going to do some kind of summer gathering to give the kids closure in the summer, but still. She loves it there so much, and it’s a shame that they had to close it down. But I guess that’s true if everything for everyone.
