One of my younger brothers called me last night saying he has had all the symptoms of Covid starting Friday. He told me a couple of weeks ago that one of his neighbors informed him that his son came down with it. Getting tested today. Fingers crossed. Asking for your positive thoughts. Thanks Hope he can get the results quickly, hondo. Every case is different, but my brother-in-law (60, no co-morbidities, a workaholic doctor) came down with it back in May after working like a dog at his NJ hospital for weeks of 16-hour days. He had a "mild" case, luckily, recovered, was back at work within 10 days, and none of the four others at home contracted it. Fingers crossed for you and your brother, mi amigo.

What Prince Hal said.
Hopefully there won’t be any long-term problems or barriers regarding this issue.
The virus is a real tosspot. If the virus was a person, I’d punch it in the face. Twice. Hard.

Best wishes and positive thoughts for negative results. I got quarantined for a couple weeks of working from home because someone at the office that I worked with tested positive. Fortunately I got tested right away and it was negative. Hopefully your brother will get the same.

Great news !
The results came back negative even though he was showing all the symptoms. I hope the results are correct !
Thank you all for your positive energy and responses, my virtual family !

Yay! Splendid news indeed! Hope the test was accurate & done properly. If he still feels like he is symptomatic through the end of the week certainly get retested.

So relieved !
Yes I agree Brutalis. Hard to believe he had all the symptoms and it came back negative.
Don't know if it made the national news or not, but in the last couple of days Iowa's testing has come back flawed, so that also makes me wonder about the test results as well.
I guess we'll see.

Bless the creation and advent of recorded DVD/Bluray, YouTube, Netflix, internet and such. In ye olden days of my youth waking in the middle of the night restless and unable to sleep, late night watching on television was very limited choices. These days I have CHOICES galore. I can choose to watch whatever I am in the mood for.
12:47 AM and here I am watching the Hanna Barbera Space Stars cartoon and seeing wassup on the CCF. Ain't it grand?

I still can't get over the fact that we can talk and see someone on a cell phone or computer. That's what I used to see in the Jetsons.

Sooo many times even still today when recording (DVR now) television shows or movies I end up missing the final minute(s) due to inaccurate time listings. I especially detest interruptions which are due to signal issues with the still early and evolving stages of the change from old television airwaves to newer frequencies. I also dislike when the band waves are not in sync so we end up with video/sound ending up as bad English dubbed foreign films.

As some of you know, 2020 has not exactly been the easiest year for me, beyond just the coronavirus issues. My mom's deteriorating mental health condition, coupled with her and my dad separating after 51 years of marriage, has put a lot of unwanted and unneeded stress on me and my sister, not to mention my wife and daughters.
Well, the universe decided that the shit sundae that I've been served this year wasn't quite full enough, so it threw a couple more scoops of poop on it yesterday. My father was out filling his bird feeders last night when he tripped and fell on his driveway, fracturing his right hip. I spent last evening with him at the hospital, and he was in surgery this afternoon. He'll wind up at a rehab facility for at least 6, but more likely 8 or more, weeks, and then we'll have to figure out a long-term solution for him if he can't return home.
Sad thing for him is, he wasn't drunk. Used to be, we could chalk this up to him being hammered, but he hasn't been drinking since my mom left. After the paramedics took him away, they told me to wait about 45 minutes before heading down to the hospital since they would have to get him there and get him checked in, and there would be nothing for me to do. With the time, I did a little snooping and found not a drop of booze in the house. No bottles behind the bar, no beer in the fridge, no empties in the recycling; nothing. Just an accident where a 73-year old man tripped over his own two feet and wound up smashing his hip.
2020 can go find Negan, grab Lucille, and do unspeakable and very painful things to itself with that bat. I'm done with this year. It can go fluff itself.

That's a lot to deal with, Cap. My dad is the same age and fell a few years back and ended up with bleeding on his brain. He's made pretty remarkable strides, hopefully your dad experiences the same.
