I have never seen or heard of salad cream before. Going to google the ingredients now. I'm willing to bet it's a Miracle Whip knock-off. I googled Miracle Whip and, I don't know, that seems like that's quite close to mayonnaise (or is trying to be), whereas salad cream is not as creamy and is quite vinigary. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salad_cream |

There was a special Salad Cream ice cream released that Ashens covered. He said that the taste overall wasn't all that unpleasant

Mayo, ketchup, ranch dressing on fries. Yum. But best is chocolate milkshake dipped french fries. Cold sweet ice creamery salt warm tastiness.

Got my test results this morning, and I of course tested positive for COVID.
Didn't matter that I spent the entire last year following the guidelines and being careful. Nothing reckless, nothing stupid, but in the end, it didn't matter.
Sadly, it looks like my older daughter has it as well. She doesn't have much of her sense of taste or smell right now, but everything else is OK, while I have both of those but feel like I have a vicious flu bug.
The best part is having to quarantine the next 2 weeks. It's Holy Week, but I won't be able to go to worship Thursday, Friday or Sunday either. As well, I have Friday and Monday off from work, my first days off since starting my new job, and I have to spend them in the house.
It it weren't for rotten, miserable, horrible luck, well, I wouldn't have any luck at all.

Ugh, sorry to hear that. If it's any silver lining, consider you made it a whole year before you got sick, and it sounds like your cases aren't too severe. I don't know about your church, but a lot of them have quality streaming options.
I'm sorry you and your daugther are sick. I hope you both mend quickly and can find a way to maximize the forced down time.

Sorry to hear Captain. Have a friend got hit with Covid and has been miserable for weeks after. Hoping you and your daughter have a mild bout and recover quickly. Make the most of it for doing home fixings and cleanings and whatnot as your aches allow. Oh, don't forget to indulge in comic reads to help pass the days....be well friend!

As a suggestion to The Captain to pass the time and everyone here in general as comic fans, I recommend watching the Invincible series on Amazon Prime. Invincible is one of my all-time favorite comic series, and so far the animated adaption is pretty darn good. The cast is RIDICULOUS, too. |

The Captain, sorry of course to hear this news. If it's any comfort, I've had a brother-in-law, niece and nephew come down with it as well as several neighbors and friends, ranging in age from early 20s to nearly 80. All emerged safely after bouts similar to what you're describing. Hope that you and your daughter will get through this challenge quickly and safely.
