Like Richard, I'm keeping everyone here, especially Dan, Shax, and Pip, in my prayers.
Regarding sleep problems and aging, the body stops making melatonin, the chemical that makes us naturally go to sleep and stay asleep, as we get older. However, melatonin is actually available as an over-the-counter supplement that one can take in 2.5 or 5 mg doses about 1/2 hour before bed.
Besides that, it's basic stuff like stay away from computers/tablets/cell phones for an hour before bed, get regular exercise, try to keep meals and sleep to a schedule so your circadian rhythm can set itself up in a strong pattern, try to get sunlight during the daytime (also for circadian rhythm), watch PM caffeine intake, and the things doctors always say. But the melatonin has made a huge difference for me all by itself.

Can I get a sanity check on how technology works. Can everybody see this image embedded? (If you can see it, that's a week-or-so old humpback whale jumping out of the ocean I saw on a boating trip new my house about a month ago. His mother was nearby.) EDIT: Google Drive seems to have broken itself. It once gave hosting-links rather easily. The below is from me manually editing the filename, but that's stupid.

I know how to double-post, if not post images.

Can't see the image. Seems you cannot embed images from your google drive. Upload to imgur.com or photobucket etc. instead.

I edited the link manually in the original post so you can see the baby whale. I'm reading online about the problem. It seems google took away functionality in recent upgrades.

I have a photobucket account, and this has convinced me to download the app.

Yeah, photobucket was easier. Same boating trip for the dolphins.

I should probably mention the boating trip included a professional photographer along. These are not from my cell phone.

I take a couple of melatonin caplets (the melt-on-your-tongue type) before bed most nights, upped from a dosage of one before that. I don't sleep solidly -- that's sleep apnea at work, I know, as well as cats, etc. -- but I do sleep better in general.

This pollen can go to HELL.
My air purifier and ionizer broke, and that is usually how I survive spring.
