My eldest brother brought this comic book and gave it to me and I still have it! ... It was published in October 1959 and I remember buying comic books when it's hit 12 cents and 15 cents and I do remember seeing a flock of 10 cents comics in the early 60's at Comic Book Stores selling them for 3 cents to 7 cents depending on condition of the book itself. I was born in 1959 and I do recall this quite well. Showcase #22

It's not the years, it's the mileage.

It's not the years, it's the mileage. Yeah, that doesn't quite sound right, though.

I have arthritis in my thumbs and my right shoulder from my job. It's the mileage cause I'm only 54. If your hands feel like 85, it's the excessive use.

Today, the older sister of the owners of my favorite pizzeria (where they've already got a jar out collecting money for me) PM'ed to ask if I'd like their couch, since they're getting new furniture. Her husband and one of the two brothers who operates the place (actually named The Pizza Place -- truth in advertising!) showed up with the couch & a chair not long after 3 p.m., as she said they would. For the first time since I moved here right after Thanksgiving 2001, I have something other than a perfectly functional but not at all comfortable futon couch to lounge around on & watch horror movies.

I refuse to succumb to my chronological age. My general state of mind has been pretty similar since I was 24 or so, and that's that. At some point I hope that the technology to download myself into a nice robotic body will kick in before too many of my original parts wear out I'm in my thirties, and my wrists already feel 85 years old most of the time due to my job. In fact, this summer, I'm training my son on my job so that I never have to set a decorative spot in leather again. And when it's raining, or the weather does a major change, or it's too cold, my entire forearm from my elbow down to my fingers, can ache pretty badly. I don't know how to remedy this other than rest it. Heating pad might help friend

It's certainly not on the level of problems that many of you have been having recently, but I am beginning to get increasingly concerned about my inability to get an full night's sleep on a regular basis. I have no problem falling asleep when I lay down at night, but after that, it's anyone's guess as to how long I will stay asleep. On some nights, I only get three hours or so before I wake up and than I flop back and forth for the next few hours, never getting more than 20-30 minutes consecutively in that time. It's frustrating, because I know I'm tired and should be sleeping, but my body never seems to want to cooperate. As such, it's 5:45 on Saturday morning and I've been up off and on for the past two hours, even though I was up until 11:45 last night (which is pretty late for my boring self). I'd love to get a nap later, but my girls have soccer games this afternoon at 12:30, 1:30, and 2:15 (the little one has a doubleheader), so it doesn't look like that nap is going to happen. I have this exact problem, too, so I do not have any advice. I will go to bed around 10 pm every single night. And my brain wakes me up anywhere from 3-4 am. It's usually to pee, but I can RARELY ever fall back asleep. My husband wakes up around 5:40 am during week days so he can get ready for work, so I usually get up around 5:30 so I can at least have my coffee ready before he wakes up. Every now and then, my body will crash, and I'll either fall asleep between 9 and 9:30 pm and sleep all the way until 5 pm, but most of the time, I am up on and off from 3-4-5 am. Sometimes, making sure I have nothing to eat 2-3 hours before bed helps, or if I do not drink anything 1-2 hours before bed. Daily exercise helps me sometimes as well, but it's never a guarantee. For me, my sleep patterns become especially crazy when approaching, and during, my period (sorry if TMI), which is extremely awful because it's during that time that my body needs the most rest. Lack of sleep causes me anxiety and forgetfulness, things I should not be experiencing right now in my life. So, while I have no advice, I can completely relate. I envy the hell out of people who can sleep 8-10 hours at a time, or people who can sleep past 7 am. I Have the same problem plus my depression/ anxiety makes it worse. try reading some for like 10 or 15 minutes might help also try and picture somewhere in your mind of a beach or laying in a warm field etc might help some

You would be surprised at how many good items are for free either on craigslist or FB. My wife is always hunting down things for the house on the cheap. I just get annoyed that she wants to use our car as a moving van.
