Note to self after seeing Twitter promo: Lose 135 lbs. ASAP. And/or give birth already. Weight loss won't hurt your health, but I think you are actually kinda handsome. Love. Exciting and new, come aboard, it's waiting for youuuuuuuuu. * * Sung in the style of the Love boat show.

Glad they caught the jerks. Don't worry, Dan, you came across fine in the news article. Looks like a nice neighborhood, hopefully after this it will be a quieter one.

High praise, pip -- thanks. *blush* You don't happen to have a sister who's unlucky enough to be marooned in the middle of Alabama, do you? Not that I know of, no. And my dad's ship turned around before he made it tot he US as a POW and they sent him home.

Good job Scott. I wasn't aware that they caught the punks. And they would have gotten away with it, too, if it wasn't for that damn middle-aged guy and his meddling cats!

Love that southern drawl, Dan. The newscaster and the Crimestoppers guy in that clip both had wonderful accents too. Maaaannn....I've GOT to get myself down to the southern States for a holiday one of these days. Also, I thought you came across very well in the clip.

Man, I could swear that I saw a copy of Brother Power the Geek in the background. It's funny, because of your avatar, everytime you post something, I imagine a Stan Lee (dramatic) Thor bellowing out whatever you posted at the top of his lungs. Like some battle cry announcement.

See ... to our ears down there, neither I nor the other two sound particularly Southern at all. All a matter of persepctive, of course.

You do have a drawl, but it's a VERY slight one compared to what I encountered when I used to visit Tuscaloosa once a year. Anyway, I'm glad they got your story out there, Dan. They did an odd job with the editing together, but you came across great.

My freshman and sophomore years at university I was roommates with guys from Metarie, LA and Giddings, TX. respectively. Dan and the folks on the TV piece have nothing on the drawls those two had....

Honestly I didn't hear much of an accent from any of you either. That may have something to do with the number of years I spent down south, though. I still sneak in a "y'all" on occasion, plus when I get really tired I start getting a much more pronounced drawl than you had in the article.
