(...) will be placed in assisted living in 1 or 2 months from now and that's would ease the burden of my nephew for good. At some point that becomes unavoidable, much as we'd wish otherwise. My own dad became dangerous to himself and others, and his not sleeping at night made watching over him impossible. At some point he did things like inadvertantly starting fires or jamming things in power outlets, and the look of helplessness and puzzlement on his face was heart-breaking. Dementia is the cruelest blow that old age can give us and our families. My heart goes out to your family. Being the ages that many of us are, this phase of becoming parents to our parents is unfortunately going to be pretty common amongst us: I'm going through similar with my in-laws - one is physically frail but mentally alerts, the other is somewhat capable physically (but drastically less than last year after major medical issues) but with less than perfect rationality and memory, and he was the other one's primary carer. One hospital stay for him, followed by major headaches trying to get carers set up and make the unsuitable house less actively dangerous, followed by a fall for her leading to a current indefinite hospital stay. My sympathies are with anyone going through this, especially if you got dementia in the mix.

Sorry. I make that mistake alot. Hal, Dan, and anyone else who enjoys laughing at the fractured English we encounter sometimes, there's a great thread on another message board where people like us post examples: www.city-data.com/forum/writing/2154810-i-cant-take-anymore-part-2-a.htmlRecent posts include: "his wife is an acceptional person" "The monthly payments alone can be exuberant, even with a down payment." "MRS CLEAN LIVES HERE, LOVERY AND METICULAS 2 STORY" "The resturant will probaley get sued for 300k because they hurt the infant feeling and will be scar for life." I check in there every day or two.

Me too - it's noocular, surely? I always go with the Pogo strip I saw when it was revived in the late 80s/early 90s where the Possum's pals clearly demonstrate it is New-Clear weapons. I wish I still had a copy of that strip. -M

The next time your flight attendant informs you that, "we'll be landing at our destination momentarily," be sure to ask, "Will there be time to get off?"

Here's an interesting collection of educational, political & government-sponsored comics: contentdm.unl.edu/cdm/search/collection/edcomics!comics!polcomics/display/200/order/title/ad/asc edit - the exclamation points seem to confuse the proboards software - use cut & paste to get the full URL.

I set up a Twitter account and pledged to a Kickstarter all in one morning. I'm on interweb overload.

I'd grab his ass, asking "How do YOU you like it?" And then proceed to be beaten, I suppose.
