Its been a little bit of a fizzle of a storm here in south east mass with only about 3-4 inches and it's turning to rain now.
One thing I ask myself while watching the news: If you're big rig truck driver, why drive during a snow storm? I know driving is the job but is it worth risking your life?

Err... I can't access the CBR message board. When I insert community.comicbookresources.com into the URL bar, it directs me to the main page of cbr.com. I just woke up after a long nap, and wanted to check out the TV/Film subforum, but it redirected me. Doing a google search of the past hour, it seems that the latest posts to the forum were made half an hour ago, so it's still a fresh problem and I hope they're in the midst of fixing it, but... it does seem a bit scary.

I've been there maybe a half dozen times since the reboot. Considering I was a active member since 1997 or 98 that says a lot. Ehh!

Well, the snowstorm of the year is about to start in NYC. A state of emergency has been declared in the tri-state region. 16-20 inches is expected to fall with winds averaging 40 MRP, I mean MPH. Just about everything is announced closed tomorrow and the storm is due to last 24 hours. Hope my fellow nor'easter people like Iccy, mph-I mean mrp, Prince Hal and others are all prepared and safely snugged away. My refrigerator is loaded, I got a dozen servings of pudding, candles and batteries in case of power failure and stocked up on library DVDs today to last the week. If I post too much here tomorrow you know the reason why Wow, crazy. One week before the start of Spring? Hope you guys will get through safely.

Sometimes you're the windshield, sometimes you're the bug. Hope you make it through without going through all your pudding.

I hope it's just technical difficulties they're having right now, but there was something of a disconnect between the new owners of CBR on one hand, and the message board community on the other, so... I hope this is not an ill omen.

Ehh..It's winding down now and was not as bad as predicted. Yes cold and very windy but we only got less than half of the snow they forecast. Much of it was just rain. Well, the pudding won't go to waste. Snow in March in NYC is not that unusual. There has even been snow occasionally in early April . But in total it's been a rather mild winter

But then again, it has been for the past ten to fifteen years. Very few snowy days when compared to previous decades up until the 90s. Last 'proper' winter here in Holland was probably 1997. 'Funny' thing is, that whenever snow does fall, people seem to be ill-prepared for it.

Oh sure, but whenever snow is announced, we're so incredulous that we don't bother to hoard up on the pudding. Besides, we prefer savoury foods in winter, like pea soup or sauerkraut. EDIT: was able to access the CBR forum after all, more posters are having similar difficulties. So at least it's not a wipe.

We're having our bathroom remade, and for the plumber to get access to the pipes we had to empty our bedroom walk-in closet. Unfortunately, my side of said closet contains several thousand comics, all packed in assorted boxes. My son and I had to get them all to the basement, three floors down!!!
Who ever said comics were light reading? Oooh, my achin' back...

I have been going to the dentist for 2 years now for various procedures including surgeries. 2 years of somewhat regular visits. 2 years and each time a 2 1/2 hour commute. And today, finally, was my last appointment. I'm as happy as a dog with a bone. In fact, I can now gnaw on bones too.
(Actually I have to return 1 more time in two weeks just so they can be sure every thing is fine but I don't expect any problem)

I had a second round interview for an internship at a big company yesterday. I think it went pretty well, but now the waiting game is killing me!
