Whenever we change the clocks either forward or back, you never really notice it until around 4 or 5pm. Very true!

You'd think after almost 18 years of marriage I'd be better at pretending something that is an issue, isn't an issue. Or like actually telling her it is an issue instead of not. Why is this so hard for me?

For those of us who live in places that observe daylight savings time, we are on the cusp of time travelling one hour into the future! Ok, ok, so we are only setting our clocks ahead an hour and losing an hour of sleep, but the first way of saying it makes it actually sound appealing at least -M It always startles me a bit when American posters announce that DST is about to kick in. Here in the Netherlands, we won't be setting our clocks forward for another 2 weeks. The dates changed here a few years ago. Starts earlier in March, ends later, in early November.

In AZ we don't observe DST. True enough here in Arizona. Except for how it messes with our television schedules for moving some channels up an hour. Plays havoc with your recording shows if you don't pay attention and update your timer

Why is this so hard for me? It's the body language that gives us away. You might be right. Even my mother could see through my lies as a kid. And my wife usually knows when I'm trying to tell her something isn't a big deal that I think it is. But when I posted that something was bothering me. But it seemed petty at the time. So I said nothing.. But it's eating at me even though I still rationalize it's petty. Stupid human emotions!

Well, the snowstorm of the year is about to start in NYC. A state of emergency has been declared in the tri-state region. 16-20 inches is expected to fall with winds averaging 40 MRP, I mean MPH. Just about everything is announced closed tomorrow and the storm is due to last 24 hours.
Hope my fellow nor'easter people like Iccy, mph-I mean mrp, Prince Hal and others are all prepared and safely snugged away. My refrigerator is loaded, I got a dozen servings of pudding, candles and batteries in case of power failure and stocked up on library DVDs today to last the week. If I post too much here tomorrow you know the reason why

If I post too much here tomorrow you know the reason why I'm no longer in the northeast. We're having our winter weather here in Ohio now but we are only slated for 1-3 inches (I had a little less than an inch of snow on the car when I got out of work tonight, but it was mixed with ice and frozen solid on the car). I've still got family back east, and I'll call and see how they're doing tomorrow, but this is one I won't have to endure. Hope you surivive the storm ok though. -M

Just woke up and it's snowing. Looks like about 3 inches so far. Driving in to work at 5:30am and it is 63 degrees. Temperatures hitting into high 80's and possible 90's this week. Skip Spring and jump straight to Summertime here in Arizona while you all back east get snow. Mama Nature very confused these days.
