Perhaps a somewhat obvious choice Even if we weren't into comics, if you were a 90's kid, there was no way of not knowing who the TMNT were.

Dear Cover Contest MembersI'll be gone and taking an extended leave of absence from this forum and will be leaving by the end of this week and I've made my decision to not play this cover contest anymore because I feel that this contest is a biased contest that I feel that I've personal issues that I do not want to share because it will upset members here and all that. I don't enjoy this contest anymore and because of that I'm sticking with the four wins that I got. Sorry, I'm very unhappy with this contest and decided to take an extended leave of absence from this forum and I do not know when I'll be coming back after this Saturday. It might be February and/or March when I decided to come back. I have so many personal projects that I wanted to do and I need the this time during the Holidays to sort things out. For the record, I can share my personal thoughts about this contest through Private Message even during my absence from this forum and I will explain in the best of my ability of why I find this contest is not my liking and why. Respectfully Submitted, Juggernaut Sorry to hear...not sure how it is biased since we all live across the globe and vote for fun. Maybe there is a preference for Neal Adams but I enjoy the array of covers, from superhero to cartoon to stuff I have never seen. Your four wins are quite and while I always say "shoot, lost again" I eagerly look forward to the winner's topic. Return soon!

Maybe in 2017, and I will send you a PM stating my position of the contest and all that. I've have many things that I wanted to take care of and I haven't got started on it and I want my Holidays to be stressed free and all that.

Not only the greatest Saturday morning hero; but, the greatest adaptation of the character, from mark Evanier and Steve Rude, channeling Alex Toth, while giving it his own signature.

Respectfully Submitted, Juggernaut "biased contest"...ha, you think? Oh well, who cares about upsetting other members here. It's all ok, you are just expressing yourself. I have just come to the conclusion that no matter how much better my selection is than others here that I will not win, but now I just post for the fun of it. Hey, you got 4 wins, that is something. I had 1 win when I first registered btw. Also, those who wish to rag on juggernaut for expressing his opinion...just let it go. Don't stay gone long Juggernaut, look forward to seeing your future submissions. I have no idea about what's at the center of this and it is none of my business. I've always just approached these things as a bit of fun, to hunt down some cool cover images. 90% of the time, I don't even vote (on the old site, though I have here). I hope you will be back and have enjoyed your input on my reviews and other posts. I'm just here to have fun and talk cool comics and related stuff. That's why I am staying away from the political thread and anything like it. Too much negative emotion. Rest and recharge, and come back. Please!

Too bad Pee Wee Herman wasn't animated and no Thundarr the Barbarian comic ? Someone's leaving money on the table ! Even today I'd buy that. Never understood that, either. To be fair, Hanna-Barbera usually licensed their entire line to a company and they created stuff from that. Maybe Ruby-Spears wanted more control. It was conceived by Steve gerber, which probably put Marvel out of the picture. DC wasn't doing a ton of licensed comics then. Why nobody has since is a puzzle. maybe the rights are a bit more convoluted than Warner owning the finished cartoons.

Loved that comic series. William Messner-Loebs did some fantastic work on it and the covers beat that earlier Gold Key issue. Dave Stevens and Steve Rude were only topped here by Doug Wildey, himself. Wish someone would collect this stuff.

That could only be topped by seeing 4 other people as the band. Thing is, veronica played keyboards, while Reggie played base. Maybe they hadn't booted Moose out of the band, yet. Is Moose the Pete Best of the Archies?

Just noticed this; why did Dave steven give Jade a Colt M1911 automatic, if he drew cartridge loops on her gunbelt? Should have given her a revolver, or made it magazine pouches instead of cartridge loops. No matter what, the Colt looks awfully small, next to those other guns!
