I'd do this myself if I could but unfortunately can't. But here's the idea.
Sort of a Mystery Science Theater 3000 or DVD commentary track thread
We have a large assortment of knowledgeable fans as well as a plethora of wise guys and wise girls.
So, all we need is someone who would upload a few panels of a classic comic periodically until the entire story is done. Maybe a page worth every few days. And as it's posted, comments and trivia from the crowd are hurled willy-nilly. Could be quite interesting, I presume. That depends on us.
So, if you think this idea has legs, I guess there are a few things needed to iron out
#1-Pacing Of The Scanned Panels I'm thinking one full story a month, begun on the first day of the month. It should finish some days before the end of the month so we get a few days for finishing comments. If it's a short story then maybe we do 2 that month
#2-What Gets Scanned I'm thinking something in the classic time frame. Something with characters that we are mostly all familiar with. And not necessarily super-heroes. I wouldn't mind seeing EC horror, romance, Archie or whatever else for diversity sake.
#3-Who Does The Scanning Well it can't be me. I don't have a collection nor the equipment. How to decide, do we take turns etc. I leave up to you
#4-What's It Called Without thinking too hard about it, how about simply Classic Comic Commentary and follow it by the month name and year
There it is. Tear it apart with your thoughts. Call me silly. Call me Ish-mael. Just don't leave it with no thoughts until it disappears from the front page

I like it! Would this mostly target "bad" comics, though, like how MST3K tore into bad movies?

I think you can have "bad" and "good" comics, as long as there is something that invokes riffing. A hyper reality likes comics can't help but inspire a bit of satire. Reading Jimmy Olsen, with the introduction of the 4th World, via the Outsiders, the super-bikers, it just got me going on about bikers and Beat writers.
Peter David did this in the Comic Buyers Guide, in his But I Digress column, with a page from Teen Titans (the Wildebeest storyline), with the sword thrust into Jericho. The winner had the Mysties saying "Whosever pulleth this sword from the Titan is rightwise King of England!"
I'm game; but, don't have the time to do the scans, or the physical material, anymore. I have t suffice myself with locating images on the internet, for my reviews.

Reminds me a lot of the old Vh1 Pop-up Videos. I loved those:
I would be very interested. However, I do not have a scanner.

I like this idea! I think it's a good one. I have access to a scanner, but I don't have a collection. Just odds and and ends and mostly Harley Quinn! All the same, I think this is a good idea. Perhaps though, I think the idea that people take turns should be considered. That way one person doesn't have it all on their shoulders but if someone genuinely enjoys it they can do it often. But won't feel bad if they can't from time to time. That's my input

Hey RM, great selection and go right ahead if you wish and continue this till the story conclusion. And the weird thing is, I just read it a few months ago as I'm making my way through the entire Dynamite Archive volumes for Warren's Vampirella.
This particular story is, I believe, Archie Goodwin's 2nd Vampi tale and really the start of her true classic phase. Beforehand it was done in a somewhat comedic manner or with not too much continuity from issue to issue. But here it starts with a real direction and a permanent supporting cast as will be introduced in the pages to come.
And the art...Good God, Jose Gonzales is friggin' masterful. After all this time, to my eyes, he is the definitive Vampirella artist.
The black and white artwork shows, unobscured, his beautiful line work. Later in the run, Warren had some color Vampi tales, even some done by Gonzales himself and I have to say that I prefer the black and white version. The lush tonal qualities of the pages resonate in ways that's obliterated by color
