Ducktales was a great cartoon and all but where's the love for this show? In my neck of the woods, this aired right after Ducktales and I loved it. Airplanes, action, humor, sort of pulp-style adventures, Baloo and Shere Khan. It was a fun show.

Ducktales is a great cartoon show and my Nephew Family loves it and his four kids faithfully watch it all the time.

Never actually watched it. I was an adult, in the military, when it debuted, and a working civilian, with no kids, when it was syndicated. I was usually at work when it came on. I had sampled Duck tales, due to a love of Uncle Scrooge stories, and Darkwing Duck, because of the superhero angle; but wasn't a regular viewer of either. Just the wrong generation.
I think the problem is that Tale Spin and Chip 'n' Dale came after Duck Tales and were seen as knock-offs, by many; just another attempt at the same formula. Darkwing Duck was a bit more unique and satirical, which helped draw fans that didn't latch onto Tail Spin. Just a theory, though, no hard evidence.

I remember watching all four of these faithfully, and yet I remember absolutely nothing about any of them.

I never liked Talespin or Rescue Rangers.. they felt too contrived to me. I mean, Uncle Scrooge going on adventures makes sense, that's his thing. Chip and Dale as park rangers? Well, almost. Ballou as a pilot? Nope. I get the marketing and all, it just didn't work for me.

I've never seen Jungle Book but knew of some of the characters so I was surprised to see Baloo and company here. Plus, I liked the genre they put those characters into, kinda 30s-40s pulp adventure and I'm always a sucker for planes, fighters, and such. In fact, I think another reason I enjoyed this cartoon was how it reminded me of, at that time, a recent short-lived TV show that I enjoyed as well:

Loved this iteration of Baloo as a laid back loafing big heart try to avoid real work and some of the Jungle Book cast. Louie as a bar/hustler/gasoline man (think Rick from Casablanca) was spot on. Put a monkey in your tank is a great fun song! Shere Khan as slick greasy business tycoon with his claws in everything is inspired! Don Karnage the pirate of the skies too much goodness. A fun show all the way around. Have the DVD's and watch regularly! Would be fun to see a cross-over with Launchpad McQuack into Baloo's world

I was an adult when those Disney cartoons were airing and didn't watch any of them.

Well, I know something I'll be on the lookout for. Really liked it back in the day. As for the cartoons mentioned in the OP, I don't think I've ever seen an episode of any of them.

Tailspin was definitely my favorite of the bunch, I loved the pulpy adventures and the world they created was fantastic.
