Infamous Iron Man #3
So the promised fight between Doom and Thing happens off panel... or maybe doesn't happen (not entirely clear).... perhaps Doom just teleports away with potential love interest-PoV girl who I can't remember the name of and is totally unimportant anyway, because Bendis. Anyway, apparently Doom has a place in Switerland, and tells her why he's Iron Man.. he remembers Secret Wars, and says he found being God boring, so he thought he'd see if being a good guy was better. Glad they got to this, and it fits the character, but kinda lame. The monologue takes up about 2/3 of the issue
Meanwhile, Thing blunders about Latveria, and finds Doom's mom... to be continued!
I can't wait until Bendis is tired of Iron Man and goes and writes a character I don't care about so I can ignore him.
Plot 2/5 Art 3/5

Action 970: In this issue, we see Lex Luthor confronted by L'call and crew about what they consider to be Luthor's future. Superman shows up to rescue Luthor and is faced with a moral dilemma. We learn more about L'call's past as well in this fast paced story. There's a quick funny scene with Jon as well as a classic-feeling scene with Lois, the mysterious Clark Kent, and Perry White. The art was great with illustrations of the alien landscape, L'Call and crew, and Superman looks....super (for lack of a better word!) I like Zircher's version of Luthor's armor. 8/10 You liked it alot more than I did.. the whole concept of trying bad guys for future times is pretty old hat (and, in fact, going on at the same time over in Avengers right now)... and the end of the issue feels TOTALLY wrong to me. I agree Jon partying with the neighbor while he's home alone was pretty awesome, though.. otherwise I feel like i could have pretty much skipped this one (and 969, for that matter).

Yeah, I wasn't a fan so I decided to drop action for the time being.
