Thank you. I'm trying to ween myself off Facebook( it's just been exhausting my soul lately) and now that I found this forum I have one less reason to hit up FB. Now if I can be directed toward a Kaiju forum I may be set.

I read a total of 116 books in the month of January. These are my impressions- The GoodI just finished acquiring the run of Gen 13 bootleg and read 1-20. It was released as a way for guest teams to do stories involving the characters and I enjoyed that most of the issues were done in one. Among the artists that did issues were Walt Simonson, Alan Davis and Kevin Nolan. I read a run of Bronze age Superman titles ( 295-363) and it was refreshing to read him with Cary Bates and Curt Swan doing the stories. Again, they were mostly done in one format. What a change from the 6 issue drawn out comics of today. Spider-man vs. WolverineI'd never read this 1987 one shot before but I went to Marvel Unlimited and was really surprised with how good it was. It was shocking to see {Spoiler: Click to show}Ned Leeds get his throat cut and killed.
The BadCivil war2I hate Captain Marvel Black Panther #1 ( 2016)Boring political intrigue ruins this new series.

I agree on both of those 'bad' counts, IC... Political Intrigue is great as a backdrop, but especially in today's de-compressed world, it gets really boring if there's nothing else. I read the first TRADE and it still was only 1/2 a story at best.
Civil War II was just nonsensical to me....there have been several times when good guys tried to predict when bad guys were coming, why was this time (including when Tony Stark did it with Scarlet Witch in Force Works) so important?

Wow. Did everyone else drop off in April? No one seems to be updating anymore. April was definitely a slow month for me.

Looking at my totals you can really see where work and wedding planning really started to eat up my free time.
Oh well, just means more to read later.

Only 2 more months of reading left for 2017. How much reading will we cram into November and December along with the working and holidays and shopping and sleeping?

I have to wrap up my major reading in November because December is very busy for me. I try to read my favorites every year:
GL/ GA Neal Adams run
Flash Mike Baron run
Avengers from around 98-112
Captain America 425-443
Brave and the Bold 180-185
some others that I'm blanking on.
