If you were shopping at the Deep Comics in Huntsville Alabama, this happened recently...
what amazes me is how blase the employees' reactions were...

Was that a ram-raid, or jut terrible driving? One report suggested the driver of the SUV suffered a seizure leading to the crash, but I don't know for certain. -M

I like how the Vader standee right next to where the SUV plowed through barely moves, almost scoffing at the attempt to take him out..."I find your lack of brake disturbing" as I saw someone else comment.

At least the comic books are safe while the board games got ran into.
Board games and comic book shops do not mix. If I want to buy a board game I can just go to Walmart or Toys R Us to buy a darn board game

At least the comic books are safe while the board games got ran into. Board games and comic book shops do not mix. If I want to buy a board game I can just go to Walmart or Toys R Us to buy a darn board game Most board games aren't sold at Wal Mart or Toys R Us, especially not the kind specialty shops carry, and most "comic book" stores couldn't keep the doors open if all they sold were comic books, the market is just too small and sales too little to pay their bills, so they diversify their product to increase their revenue flow. That's the way hobby businesses have to operate in the real world these days, if not they close there doors for good, as many comic shops seem to be doing recently. More and more shops are becoming game/comic shops, video game/comic shops, toy/comic shops or even vinyl record/comic shops. Hell there are some comic shops that are coffee shops and barber shops as well to keep the revenue flowing and stay in business. If the alternative is not being in business, then I saw do what you got to do to stay open and bring in as much of a customer base as possible. And if that offends the sensibilities of someone whose money and livelihood isn't at stake, too bad for them. -M
