Script by Charles Soule. Art by Goran Sudzuka. Cover by Dan Panosian. DD vs Bullseye. The fight is almost an afterthought & a bit anticlimactic. DD needs a serum Bullseye created that gives people heightened senses. DD wants to help Blindspot with this serum. During the fight DD hesitates for a second & thinks about letting Bullseye kill him because he is tired of the evil he faces. But his reflexes & will power kick in & he deflects Bullseye's shot. Next issue: how DD got his secret ID back. IMO it took Soule awhile to find his voice on this book. But he finally has. The monologue of DD's thoughts was perfect in summarizing the essence of DD. The art by Sudzuka is similar to Garney's & is great on this title. Next issue looks to be a great time to try the book. Score: 8/10.

Rogues Reloaded: Part 2. Written by Joshua Williamson. Art and Cover by Carmine Di Giandomenico. Ahhh! Another great Rogues story. Williamson is telling another classic Rogues tale as they team up to challenge the Flash. Carmine's kinetic art remains a big draw for me. This issue his art reminded me of both Infantino & Kolins! If you were less than thrilled with the first arc of Flash: Rebirth I would highly recommend checking out the book now. Score: 8/10.

Written by Greg Rucka. Art and Cover by Liam Sharp. First of all the art is beautiful. This arc starts with Diana locked in an asylum in London as she tries to make sense of what is real. Her friends are on the run from Veronica Cale. The Amazons confront a mystery on the island. And the issue ends with an appearance from a character in Rucka's first WW run. Rucka continues to write one of the BEST WW stories. Sure it moves a little slow at times but the payoff is usually worth it. Score: 9/10.

I'm pretty busy today, and I thought about just putting off my trip to the comic store until Thursday or Friday. But then I remembered Kamandi Challenge #1 is out today! So I got one! Yay! But I won't have time to read it until much later. Hopefully I won't be too tired when I get home from work and I can read it before I go to bed.

Wonder Woman 77 Meets the Bionic Woman #2: a fun issue, even though the plot isn't making much sense. A villainous organization known as Castra is out to get the IADC and IOS. Wonder Woman and Jaime Summers team up to find out what is going on and in this issue, their mission is to retrieve some stolen missles. Characters from both tv shows appear as well as a new version of Dr. cyber. The art is ok, childish looking in some panels, spot on in others. I can't imagine trying to catch the likeness of so many tv characters consistently. The banter between WW and Jaime is good. Jaime calls WW out about how she Saw right through the Diana Prince ID. Jaime's awe at the invisible plane is cool too. All this plus the tv WW swimsuit! 7/10

Action 972: Men of Steel wraps up in an issue that redefines the Superman/ Luthor relationship. Stranded on a world where Superman has no powers, he has to rely on his wits, agility, and cunning to save Luthor's life. It was very cool to see Superman as capable with no powers as he is with them. By the end of the story there is a new respect between Superman and Luthor (I doubt this will last long). Lois and son have an unsettling (to Jon and Clark) encounter with Clark Kent. I can't wait to see where this is leading! No complaints about the art. 8/10

I find the Castra is a bit grandiose and these two gorgeous gals team up together made it a dream come true for me. I just loved the dialogue between WW and Jaime and the Swimsuit and the Eye Candy too. You gave it 7/10 ... I would grade it 8/10 right on the nose.

I'm not going to say too much about Kamandi Challenge #1 because it was a bit of a disappointment to me, but then I'm a bit of a Kamandi fan and I probably had some specific expectations that would be difficult to meet.
But the art is great!
It starts with a massive rewrite of Kamandi's origin, taking all its cues from ... The Truman Show. For some reason. I don't really get why they wanted to do something different with Kamandi's origin, and decided to go with The Truman Show, of all things. It's different. New to Kamandi, sure, but most definitely NOT new.
The second half of the book is a condensed re-hash of the first seven or eight issues of Kamandi. Rat people, Canus, Prince Tuftan ... and Tiny!
Um, I already read those issues, in their original forms, and I wasn't particularly impressed with this bizarre mishmash. Tiny is a fun character in his original incarnation. In Kamandi Challenge #1, he can't talk, and he's only in a few pages. None of the humor and excitement of the original character. (Kamandi #7 is my favorite single issue. It was the third or fourth issue of Kamandi that I picked up, and it clinched my growing interest in Kamandi and it was then I decided to collect every issue of Kamandi.)
The cliffhanger was pretty awesome though.
Now that I know what to expect, I'm hoping I wont be disappointed by future issues.

Thoughts on Wonder Woman #15 I agree, the art was phenomenal, especially the scenes on Paradise Island. There is a sequence framed by a beautiful drawing of a lemon tree (I like lemons, haha!) The art seemed to change in tone as the story shifted. The sequences on Paradise Island are lush and vivid. The sequences with Steve, Etta, and Dr. Minerva were dark and gritty. Mostly this story was set up for what's to come, but I enjoyed it. There is a bit of a confusing sequence mid-way through the book with Diana Prince in the mental hospital. I had to read it a couple of times to understand. Nice to see Rucka making use of golden-age characters as well as bringing a character back from his original run on WW. 8/10

I was a little disappointed to start with as well, I was expecting perhaps a little preamble about who Kamandi is to begin the story but I wasn't ready for a complete retelling. Once the shock of seeing Kamandi essentially getting a Nu52 reboot wore off though I got into the issue, the break neck action was great and the art was fantastic, that said I'm really hoping for more characterization in the coming issues; if you're going for a new start you have to go all the way and really make us care for these characters and not rely on the readers love for the past to do that for you.

I like the Kamandi Challenge a lot. The two different artistic takes were both great. (Love Giffen's very Kirby look, remeber it from the wonderful OMAC reboot) I don't mind them playing with the original origin and story, this is suppose to be each creators take on the Last Boy. I also assume that this is appealing to Kamandi fans and the market for those who know nothing about him is limited.

Infamous Iron Man #4 Victor pays a visit to Maria Hill at SHIELD HQ, to tell her he's a good guy now... not sure why, since he saved her life a couple issues ago (which they mention)... and to tell her to call Thing off. She refuses, and while they're chatting, one of her underlings mentions Grimm is in Latveria, so off to Latveria he goes. We see Latveria mostly in ruins, with the guy Doom left in charge acting as a two-bit dictator. Victor makes a few things right, and tells the guy to get better and start up a government. He then sees lights in his castle, and finds the defeated Ben Grimm... mom awaits. This is taking an awfully long time to get to the point, and I really dislike Mrs. Doom being evil (since the fact that she wasn't was Doom's previous motivation for the small scraps of good in him), so I hope they get on with it. Some interesting bits to think about with Latveria.. hope that is an ongoing side plot and not a throwaway. I do really like the armor design, though, and the moody coloring really works well. Story 3/5 Art 5/5

Daredevil #16 - Soule does a good job of showing how Matt re-focuses on his crusade after suffering the doubts brought about by Blindspot's injuries. Father Jordan, a new character with his own mysterious ties to an ancient militant order, offers a new sounding board for Matt over these doubts that harkens back to the character's Catholic ties. Blindspot's disappearance from the hospital, supposedly with his mother (who aided previous villain Tenfingers) was a nice continuation of this sidekick plot that Soule has been building upon throughout his run, which I've quite enjoyed.
But Bullseye was totally wasted here in this appearance. Last issue's cliffhanger offered up suggestions of a good confrontation but Bullseye was hardly effective in any measure here. His only role apparently to be a focal point for how Matt resolves his crisis of faith which Matt does and then proceeds to defeat Bullseye in a surprisingly easy manner. This waste brings this issue down to a 7/10
Inhumans vs X-men #3 - The Inhumans begin their counterattack, lead, by all things, the young NuHumans who have arisen since the Terrigen clouds were released. A pair of young Inhumans manage to destroy the X-Men's primary method of destroying the remaining cloud while other youngsters begin to rally under the eyes of Ms. Marvel (such as Moon Girl and Psynapse from the Uncanny Avengers). Meanwhile, the Royal Family, stranded in Limbo begin their break for freedom while the X-leadership convene to discuss their next step in destroying the cloud before the Royal Family gets free.
Soule and Lemire continue to handle this event well, showing the doubts and certainties that shadow these actions. The focus is on the Inhuman young kids, who show their mettle without the leadership of the Royal Family and step up to the plate formulating their own responses and plans to stop this invasion. There is no clear-cut 'right' side here as both races struggle for their survival.
8/10
Extraordinary X-Men #18 - another tie-in issue, this time focusing on Forge, who constructed the device the X-Men hope to use to destroy the last remaining Terrigen cloud. Throughout this run, Forge's relationship with Storm and Old Man Logan has been contentious. But becoming the possible saviour of his race if his device succeeds emboldens Forge in this regard; he asks OML for his fate in that future time and Logan regales him with an impressive tale (wisely drawn by the artist of the OML title). Meanwhile, given his new importance, Storm finally admits to the reasons behind her latest behaviour and attitudes towards him since #1. They're not together again but Lemire provides a heartwarming scene that highlights the overall importance of that relationship to both characters.
8/10
