This is my favorite comic in my collection. I don't know why really. It's maybe 7.00 VF+. It's not a key issue. Is not even the first comic I ever read. I just love the story and art. It also has the best Avengers lineup.

Sorry I should have said favorite comic in your collection. Not just Bronze Age comic. If you click edit on your first post, you can edit the thread title as well. The issue you posted is one of my favorites from my childhood, but I would be hard pressed to single out one comic as my absolute favorite. It's like picking a favorite pet or a favorite child -M

And I do agree about its hard to pick 1 issue but this storyline,164-166 were the first 3 issues I bought after restarting my collection 8 years Ago. First collection of about 5,000 were sold to finish college in 1997.

Easy! It's ASM #122, the first comic book I ever bought off the rack. That copy was destroyed by me not long after (I was 5). On the left is the copy I bought in 1986 in a fit of nostalgia, and on the right is the one I bought in 2013 to celebrate my fortieth year as a fan.

Difficult, since this was my era and there are many issues that mean a lot to me. But this one cemented my love for my favourite superteam.

I love the JSA. I should love this story. But Paul Levitz ruined it for me forever with one deeply arrogant and insulting line in the opening caption box. Apparently, World War II-contrary to the beliefs of the whole of the rest of the planet-didn't really start unti 1941, when America got involved. Unbelievable. I guess my grandmother's family imagined everything up until 1941...

Geez, far too many to list as much of my original collection was Bronze Age and Modern Age (the then-term for the 80s and early 90s) There was this: this: this: this: this: and this:

As I've often said when explaining why I love comics, continuity, and this issue: Unfortunately the days of a creative team staying on a book for 30 issues or being able to develop a character and their supporting cast, let alone have a book reach 30 issues is long gone. Thanks to companies feeling that every year a title has to be restarted at #1.

This one. For it's unique place in comic book history. We both think alike!
