Jim & Dan Promotions facebookLikely the first show of the year I am attending. Jim & Dan are great guys and I have been meaning to get to one of their shows for a while (I see them at all the other local shows all the time (Dan is the dude I got my Conan the Barbarian #1 form a couple years back). Looking forward to checking out Adam Fields self-published book, I chatted with Adam a bit at Champion City last year but couldn't make his book's debut event at Jim & Dan's store earlier this month because of my work schedule). Adam is on my short list of local creators I need to commission a blank cover sketch from, but he has been busy getting the book out. The show is held at the student on the Wright State University campus, which is right around the corner from the highway exit from 675, so real easy to get to. If anyone in the area is interested in going, I highly recommend it, and drop me a line, we can say hi if you do, assuming there is no winter weather event that Sunday. -M

Great show today. Caught up with some familiar faces on the con circuit, brought home a huge haul, found a grail for myself and for someone else, got another sketch cover done, and met some new people.
Pics in the acquisition threads later once I get them all uploaded.
Interesting books I saw in the wild today....
9.0 CGC Amazing Fantasy #15, 3 early Golden Age Buck Rogers comics, 5 copies of Giant-Size X-Men #1 at 5 different dealers, 4 copies of Hulk 181 (And 180 and 182 is quantities), a Superman #5, a Batman #9, 3 copies of Avengers #4, a Strange Tales #110, a Showcase #8, 3 copies of JLA 21, and several more key Marvel Silver books and more.
If I was hunting keys and had the money I could have gotten almost anything I was looking to buy except the true rarities of the Golden Age.
Next Jim & Dan's Show, May 21...
