Anyone have recommendations for good podcasts? I listen to a couple but they cover new issues, which is fine but I'd like a good classic comic podcast.

The Fire and Water Podcast cover plenty of old stuff, especially with their Who's Who in the DC Universe spin-off podcast. The Fire and Water Network have a bunch of good ones. I took part in the Secret Origins Podcast, with Ryan Daley, a couple of times (Uncle Sam and the Manhunters). The Supermates cover a variety of material. Warlord Worlds, with Darrin and Ruth Sutherland, cover Mike Grell's work, detailing issues of Starslayer, Green Arrow and Jon Sable in each episode. They also do Trekker Talk, devoted to Ron Randall's Trekker series (from Dark Horse) and Xenozoic Xenophiles, devoted to Xenozoic Tales (aka Cadillacs and Dinosaurs) Prof. Alan Middleton does the Quarter Bin Podcast, which covers all kinds of material he picked up, for a quarter. I did a Veteran'S Day episode, devoted to an issue of Blackhawk, with him, a couple of years ago. I was one of three people, covering a story in the issue and talking about our time in the military and our comics connections. The Two True Freaks Network has several, including Tales of the JSA and In-Country, which covers Marvel's The Nam. The Fire and Water Network has links to a bunch of other podcasts, so you might want to start there. fireandwaterpodcast.com/

Comic Geek Speak podcast has a lot of episodes on their podcast where they talk about the history of a lot of characters or groups. And their podcasts will go on for 2 to 3 hours. For instance they'll have "Spotlight on Iron Man in the Silver Age" and that will be 3 hours. And the next time they'll do one on Iron Man in the Bronze Age and that will be another 3 hours. They have a lot of older episodes that go into retrospectives. Some of the ones I've liked are discussions on Marvel Star Wars, GI Joe, X-Men, Dr. Strange, etc. They've been doing this podcast at least back to 2009 if not farther. iTunes has a lot of their episodes, but if you want to go back farther you might have to go to their website. www.comicgeekspeak.com/episodes.php

At one point I had floated the idea of doing a Classic Comics Forum podcast, which I would still be interested in doing, I just don't have a grasp of the technical side of recording and distributing it. There' a thread somewhere on the forums discussing it.

A CCF Podcast? That would be really cool. I'd certainly listen to it if you ever got it up and running.

I don't mind if CCF had an internal chat-room for all of us to do?
